Sorry if it's stupid question :D

In Apple website when they say ..

£1,999.00
Includes VAT of approx. £334.00

does that mean I will pay £1999 or £2333 ??

You will pay £1,999, or £1,665 if you are outside the EU or ordering through a VAT-registered company in the EU.

guys ever since the news of the oled panel I've been curious and sorta concerned on how Apple will implement changing volume and brightness. those are the two functions that I use daily. I love that I can change volume/brightness basically not looking at the keyboard.

however with these new leaked pictures of the MacBook Pro with Apple Pay, I think I have an idea on how Apple will implement this and in a way that I won't have to take my eyes off the display (muscle memory)

This idea came to me because I was wondering, "what if I want to change brightness/volume but Apple Pay is in the way? Am I just stuck until I close out of the browser?". Now here is my idea. To change brightness. hold the "fn" button and the left half of the Oled display becomes a big slider for brightness (and the right half is for volume). a swipe to the right (on the respective part of the oled) increases and a swipe to the left decreases volume/brightness.

On page 1314 you can see how they implement those buttons

I can't wait for a student with the new rMBP to be watching porn or an awkward sounding video in the middle of class or the library and can't figure out how to mute their laptop in a hurry. :p

This literally happened once in my lecture last year. no joke. dude panicked and slammed his laptop lid down. however it was some Windows laptop so I guess it was still waking up from sleep and it kept playing the porno sounds. I haven't seen a guy run so fast out of a lecture with a moaning laptop since then.

but isn't that just a fan render? not official? I have a dell xps m1330 with touch sensitive volume buttons and I literally can't stand them. I still don't know which button I'm pressing and I've been using this laptop for a year. that is why I came up with my idea.

Well the first hour of their event was a **** show. Lets hope the rest is better for their sake. Looks like the hardware stuff is starting now...

Front row press using macbook airs hehe

Surface is a nice product. Well designed, solid build, cool alternative for folks who don't care for the Apple ecosystem. Shame they don't have quad core laptops.

It stays open as long as we are waiting.

wait. when will the thread close? if Apple during the keynote announces the new sky lake laptops are available immediately (Thursday). can you guys let this thread be open till Sunday so we can say our goodbyes? this is the first time I've participated in a thread online and I've gotten emotionally attached. :(

There's a big world outside this thread, you really should explore it. :D
