Really I am hoping for a redesign, not one that will take away battery life or usb ports though.

If they take any ports away, to me, this is the end of the Pro. Ive's obsessions with thiness is getting to be over the top. I will then probably buy a 15" rMBP top of the line and I will be done with Apple.
More and more, Cook is not in control and is only counting the beans..sad for what Steve has built, despite the slips he had.
One of the articles alluded to the new HP Workstation ZBook using the P580 to be released in "1H16" which should be any day now. These materials have been out since NOVEMBER! Ugh, right under our nose the whole time. I never even considered the Xeon chip, I've been looking for the i7s. Anyway, that box is set to drop soon so once we see those units move others should fall into place.
Right because Steve Jobs never took things away... Like floppy drives and CD-ROM drives. If they take any ports away, to me, this is the end of the Pro. Ive's obsessions with thiness is getting to be over the top. I will then probably buy a 15" rMBP top of the line and I will be done with Apple.

Highly doubt it, would be too expensive considering the high quantity of MBPs.or the macbook pro will be assembled in USA like the mac pro now
7nm not coming until 2020

sooo, no new macbooks until 2020?
No seriously, that information isn't anything new.
Let's go step by step and first get the 14nm chips on sale
I really hope that the new MBP's will be released during the rumoured March event.
The fact that the longest time between two MBP releases was 317 days (according to the Macrumors buying guide) is promising. Because if Apple waits until June for an update then that would mean that there is a period of more than 390 days between the two releases.
But that is no yardstick to predict or ensure that Apple will follow their past trend, they can jolly well break the trend and set a new trend. Apple is notorious to be different from the masses and from their own previous trends !!

Okay MBP prices on ebay are on their lowest since forever and I'm getting ready to pull the trigger.
I do really need some leaks/new informations from apple so that I can keep on holding on.
What are the chances for a spontaneous Event just for an updated Apple Cinema 4k Display with Thunderbolt 3 as well as MBP revamp?
i'd be fine without a SD card slot, two usb Type C would cover most of my needs
