Nothing really new about that the existing iPhones/iPads have colours, I think they've done this because rMBR will finally get colour! :D

Absolutely agree. The only device getting new color would be pink for iPad, so if we take this design as a hint, then it says "consistent colours option for our brand / all our products" than just "ey iPad now in Pink too..". I guess... I hope... I don't know... :D

Maybe there is an Intel Non-Disclosure Agreement on a specific piece of tech that prevented both Razer and Apple from releasing there laptops. Any ideas ?

The machine is released already. It's just on backorder due to high demand. The 256 GB option is ready to ship but I just dont see the reason in spending $200 for double HDD space.

Bad news, it seems that the invitation didn't say anything special or obvious hint about Mac.
Good news, my countdown has past half and there's only 11 days left.
By the way, yesterday I slipped my iPhone 6s and the entire screen was broken. Hope Apple will give me a sweet comfort.

Damn. Still waiting. I still have some hope that we might see something about MacBook Pro Retina on the keynote but less than yesterday...

It's a bit ridiculous if they do let the MBP slide until the second half of the year, but hopefully they got their act together and will pull off the one more thing at this event. A new Milanese loop got me like .. gonna pass on the livestream.

The keynote is two hours long. New watch bands and retro iPhones, iPad Pro Mini shouldn't take up more than an hour of that, unless they spend a Long time going over 9.3. They could easily drop the MBP in 30 mins like they did with the new MacBook.

This would, from what I have gathered from reading the many, many posts in this thread, mean that Apple would have to care about being the best with the latest tech, which is not what Apple are about... at least with the MBP. If they were:
1. We would have already had an update of the 15" last year to Broadwell
2. Previous iterations of the MBP would have had better dGPUs.

It seems that there are a number of people who want gaming performance and thus want Apple to wait until the new GPUs are released... but Apple don't make the MBP for gamers. they make them for business/professional users. So, unless there is going to be a huge about face from Apple in how they design and market their machines, I can't see them waiting until June just for a better GPU. Especially as they are already so far behind the competition with the current line up.
True, but what pascal will offer Apple is lower TPU which, I think if we are hoping for a complete redesign of rmbp line, will be necessary for apple to continue offering a dgpu option.

Maybe it is a hint for a VR headset or eGPU with redesigned macbooks with colors (and other stuff ofcourse)?

Last year it was 90 minutes...

Long time lurker here. Thanks for the entertainment and venting of pain.

What if the loop is a wireless induction loop? It's wishful thinking I know, but I was thinking of the Steve video with the hola-hoop showing off wifi.

Not looking great for March then eh?

Anyone got a list of alternatives, Dell Precision,Lenovo P50!?!??

Might have to jump ship...

Red & Gold - possible higher sales in China could help be an incentive to bring coloured Macs (ala Apple Watch Edition Red & Gold - which they later brought to the Apple Watch Sport).

Dell XPS of course. Be careful though.. there are group of people that will tell you it's very poor compared to the not yet announced rMBP :)

I'd probably look at something like the Lenovo X1 line, they're about as premium as you can get and the design is very good still (more utilitarian, but definitely not ugly). There's also the P40 Yoga or the P50s, which give you dGPU's. The P50 is a monster machine compared to an rMBP and even toward my mid-2012 MBP. There's comparison images floating around... let me... here is it:

Yeah, I've checked out the XPS, but would probably go for the Precision out of the two for the extra power/higher end components...if push comes to shove...

I'm also attracted to having two hard drives in the unit for scratch disk purposes.
That would be a killer feature for me on a rMBP but will probably never happen.
