I think if they showed blue in the invite, it would be too obvious since people would be able to identify the other colours and thus associate a new colour coming.

supernova red color incoming, if they included that it would be too obvious to identify the other colours and thus associate this new awesome colour coming.

No blue in the invite
When it´s inverted, it does ;)

Second half of the year? That's a terrifying proposition that Apple leave their pro line up at a 1.5 year refresh cycle. While it sucks, I wouldn't be surprised by it. Those that follow Apple closely (i.e., people on these forums) will just adjust our buying cycle to coincide with a refresh. Those that don't pay be buying over one year old hardware, but they'd be none the wiser and Apple would make greater profits due to lower cost of parts (with part costs dropping significantly after one year on the market and to help Intel get rid of their older supply).

You're making a big leap that this length of a refresh would become standard.

I'm not sure about this blue rumor, we had rumors from colors months ago, then rumors saying no colors, and now colors again. But if they achieve the exact opposite color from the rose gold. It would look something like this. Better than the electric blue on the iPod (in my opinion) and more consistent with the other colors: silver, space grey and gold.

I think they should call this color "inverted rose gold."

I know I'm being optimistic, but I really could see an event between Loop and WWDC that's Mac focused: MB/MBA, MBP, Mac Mini, Mac Pro and Thunderbolt display, maybe even a version of the iMac with color options. A lot of these are in much longer waiting periods than the MBP.

I was thinking (or at least hoping) the same thing. As we know, all the Mac line needs an update.
So why not make another "Back to Mac" event?
That would be really great!
Please Apple, don't just silent-upgrade all your computer...
BTW I'm very confused/excited by the last two pages of revelations, rumors, colors, rose gold, blue gold, sapphire.
Also, I like the sapphire blue, but it seems so creepy.
Well I'm going to put my brain on ice to relax a bit...

Please don't bring that stuff here please. This is not youtube or meme place. Please be more professional, we are more than just a fan...

I hope you never take a look at a politics thread on here then. :)

I highly doubt we'll get a special event in between this one and WWDC. And people would rather just get the new hardware when it's ready rather than some artificial timeframe too, right?

Yea, the 13" should be imminent; hopefully next week. We should know more about the 15" after GDC, where the first product with the Iris Pro 580 will be released. Where my GDC people at? Keep us updated!

I have about 30 twitter feedz going but it looks like it just started an hour ago so we'll have to sit tight.

No.

The primary meaning of "loop you in" is simply "bringing you up to speed". The second meaning is just referring to the keynote location of 1 Infinite Loop, the Apple Campus. This is not hinting that the keynote is primarily about watch bands. Seriously, people!

It's obviously a reference to the Möbius strip we're all traveling along in anticipation of the new rMBP.

Hello everyone,

I have decided to buy my first macbook and after a lot of researching and asking in forums (here as well) I concluded that a Macbook Pro 13 (256 or 512) will be my first ever mac!

Like all of you here, I am holding on day after day until the 21st in hopes that they unveil a skylake refresh.

I was curious, in the case they do announce a macbook update, how long does it take for the laptops to be available from the sellers? Keep in mind that I live in the EU, which means that usually we get new models and new products after they become available in the US (It has always been beyond me why this is hapenning but meh..) at least this is the case with other manufacturers, Apple seems to be doing fine in EU.

The thing is that I need a new laptop asap and while I am all for waiting one more week, if the announcement means that the new models will become available in the summer or later, I'll have to opt for a current model instead.

What's usually the case? The purchase availability follows the announcement or does it take more time(months)?

When it gets initially released, buying from the Apple store would be the fastest route
