[doublepost=1460700491][/doublepost] Finally a new rumor :) https://www.macrumors.com/2016/04/15/macbook-ultra-thin-hinges/

BTW I'd still like same shape with more power and more battery.
Come on, Apple, stop with this thinner obsession.

Well, at least they haven't given up on the Mac just yet. They are going to rename it MacOS or macOS or whatever and potentially add Siri. So it lives to see another iteration.

That being said... Where is my thinner MacBook Pro that eschews USB 3.0 for 2 USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports, an SD Card slot and a headphone jack with Iris Pro 580!? Do not disappoint me Apple! Make it spectacular! Make it a wondrous event! (Unlike last months joke.)

are you kidding? maybe 2-3 years ago you could wonder this...but since last year Apple profit, you and APPLE see the mac is growing again and ipad is not. so after iphone the mac is the second profit for them, and since the ipads were updated and mac didnt , lets say after a WWDC mac event in June we will se even more profit

I'm not kidding. Look at the Buyer's Guide page. It feels like the Mac is largely being ignored right now. Yes, the 27 inch iMac got a Skylake processor but no new ports (ahem, Thunderbolt 3).

yes because:
1) they could update the 13" MBP but since is a redesign as well, they like to update both of them at WWDC
2) Because the HD580 is not ready until May for market, the 15" is waiting for WWDC, and look point 1)
3) I think, and hope the mac mini will be updated too , even a little redesign to be more portable since skylake and thunderbolt 3 can allow apple to make them thinner and lighter
Since we will get this year a lot of thunderbolt 3 devices, i will not be amazed if they update the Thunderbolt display for 5k @60hz

Why is everyone so excited? Thinner probably will mean sacrifices somewhere else, perhaps even a slightly reduced battery life to make it super thin. I would have preferred a smaller screen due to smaller bezels but instead of thinning just add some more battery etc and refine the design a bit.

1. They updated the 15 inch to a retina display/redesign in 2012 and the 13 inch followed it months later.
2. The HD580 is technically ready as it has been released. It is Intel's NUC unit that won't ship until the end of this month that happens to contain HD580, not the Skylake processor with HD580.
3. I hope you are right on this.
Thunderbolt display point: Hoping you are right on this too.

I just want a hug.

I just want a hug.

Awh come here buddy! *hug*

I know we all feel neglected and left behind, but we are almost at the end of our journey. We can see the top of the mountain (WWDC), yet we have a few more miles (weeks) to go. Hang in there!
Once our quest is complete, and we have our beloved machines in our hands, we (I) can celebrate with some of my homebrewed mead that's been aging about as long as this long wait. Sweet glory

In 2012 they wanted to make a presentation separately for the world highest re notebook in the world ! Now they will not announce some big step in the world So they want to introduce them both into an event and the closes one is the WWDC.
HD580 is ready but not for mass distribution until May

9h and 10h battery are for sure no matter what.

Damn it!If they realease them in the second half of 2016,I might pull the trigger and buy the current model.

in the article says that EVEN if it will be for second half 2016...that mean after 15 of June from mathematically stand point, say say that the introduction may be at the WWDC. so we learn and study what we get for the money, with the release later that month or next month. so i don't think we will be in the end of July without the new macbooks or even the mac mini

Pick any page from this thread at random.
Done!

Meanwhile, 200 pages ago...
With this CPU availability both 13" and 15" MBP will be announced in March. If not, Apple will risk to loose reputation and market share.

I find it a bit worrying, that we haven't seen any leaks for the new macbook pro.
I really hope that we'll be able to buy a new and hopefully redesigned macbook pro in march.
I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't want to wait til June (for example), it just seems ages away.

/everything is so weird...

Why is there all of a sudden no possibility of the rMBP coming out at WWDC?
Because an 'analyst' forespelled something?

I don't know about you guys, but to me that sounds like:
