Sorry but I'm pretty sure the file is corrupted.
You'll probably have to download again.
[doublepost=1461177150][/doublepost]
I'd definitely try redownloading instead.
Don't start fiddling with OS updates unless you either know what you're doing or you're desperate.
You are right better not to mess with what i dont know ... Can you help me with the right combo file link cause it would take me another 4 to 5 days to download the file so i dont want another damaged file

I wonder if they will stick with the 28W chips for the 13" or go down to 15W

The CPU options on the 13" would be either:

15W
i5-6260U 1.8/2.9 Iris 540
i5-6360U 2/3.1 Iris 540
i7-6660U 2.4/3.4 Iris 540

28W
i5-6267U 2.9/3.3 Iris 550
i5-6287U 3.1/3.5 Iris 550
i7-6567U 3.3/3.6 Iris 550

I'd love to.
But I'm a little unsure what you're looking for.
As I understand you're having trouble downloading the 10.11.4 update through the App Store?

Do you have 10.11.3 installed or an earlier version?

'Cause if you have 11.3 you don't need the combo update.

Combo update for 10.11.1 and 11.2:
https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1869?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Non-combo update for 10.11.3:
https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1868?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Will it take 4-5 days continuous downloading for you to get the file?
There is a serious chance of corruption in that case.
A torrent download could be a better option given your net connection, but I can't seem to find any available (or safe!) torrents of the update.

EDIT:
Also, I'm unsure if these downloads work regardless of what language your currently installed OS X is.
Maybe it doesn't matter?
Maybe someone else here knows?

I wont buy one if they do that. Thats not the performance im looking for. XPS 15 will be in my future.

I hope Apple does not do this.

do they share that kind of info in the keynotes? "we've put in the 28W CPU for you guys!" doesn't sound like something schiller would say :/

Ok, I lost my cool. Instead of waiting and getting the fully loaded new 15", I caved and got the new m5 12". In June it 'll be the entry level 15" on top. I guess I can justify having two macs, one for more hardcore development and the other for meetings and light task, who knows even remotely working on the other.

Everyone's using the 15W chips, I don't see anyone putting 28W in a sub-3lbs machine, which I suspect the 13" Pro will be.

If Apple were planning to use a 15W chip, we would have the Skylake MBP already.

I believe the laptop you are looking for is the MacBook. I wouldn't put money on a sub-3lbs MBP any time soon.

Im not "looking" for anything, just speculating what the new computer will be.

The new Vaio Z has the 28W i5-6267U in a 2.56lb body but review says it gets really hot, the GeekBench score is also not that much better than last year's rMBP so I wonder if that machine has throttling issues.

No point putting a 28W chip in there if it's just gonna be hamstrung by thermals.

Though if Apple can pull off a 28W CPU in a sub 3lb body and deliver all the other usual goodies, it will have been worth the wait.

Isn't "mini" kind of the same as "air"?.

So far, Apple's "mini" products have emphasized a small size and portability that sacrifices performance. For example, iPad mini is always behind its larger counterparts, same with Mac mini. Likewise the iPhone SE (which should have been the iPhone mini) has good performance but lags behind in a few aspects and has a smaller screen size.

The "Air" name would be a good match for the in-between products. These are still thin, light, and portable, but without sacrificing good performance and a nicely sized screen.

The "Pro" name should be reserved for products that emphasize performance. Obviously, Apple always tries to make their stuff as thin and light as possible, but in the "Pro" lineup that shouldn't come at the expense of top-tier capabilities.

I'm with you. Still rockin' a mid 2009 13"... Going back to school in August, and am looking forward to upgrading. Just hoping they don't make it super thin/lose tons of ports. Might have to go with a 2015 refurb too.

i've got an early 2008 core duo waiting here. had a close call yesterday when i tried to update to el capitan, and ended up having to wipe and restore from time capsule to get my computer out of an update/error loop. Was this close to just buying the old rMBP or rMB and just be done with it but the old girl came through. Just need to hang in there for 2 more months...

I had a surface pro 4 with iris 540. That thing is underpowered as hell... I don't care for the 13" line anyway, more interested in the 15"-16" and what/if dGPU they'll stick there.

And another one bites the dust...

I've been silently watching this thread for way too long waiting for the inevitable chip release, but I finally cracked last week. I bought a maxed out 2015 rMBP from a friend. It was way too much computer for him so he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. He got money, and I got brand new Pro. Good trade if you ask me.

Good luck to all that are still holding out for Skylake, hopefully it's specs knock your socks off when it finally arrives.

No i just bought the mac around 3 weeks ago or so and i am currently using 10.11.1 and yea it takes 4 to to 5 days not continuous cause it keeps cutting and i click to resume all the time plus mu transfer rate here between 5 to 10 kb/sec and my highest rate so far was 19kb/sec but it always cut anyway may b thats why it was corrupted

You just referred to performance as a thing sacrificed for Apple's smaller products and then talked about SE's "good" performance ... even though it has the exact same A9 chip as the two flagship phones ... so performance was not sacrificed for size ... so that really deters from your main point.

If you're having to resume, there is a chance that packets aren't getting completed. This is probably why the DMG is invalid. Unless you're having problems with OSX, I would wait til you're back on land/have a connection that can get at least 100kbps. I appreciate your frustration though.

given previous records, i would say that the new macbook pros won't get the full speed USB-C 3.1 (10gb/s).
i'm quite confident with thunderbolt, but standard usb devices won't run full speed.

Don't wanna sound rude but this scenario literally can't exist. If an alpine ridge (thunderbolt 3) controller is used, USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) is included for free. There's very little chance that Apple holds on to TB2 because of the mDP thickness. They'll swap just so they can slim things up.

Yeah, I definitely think you're going to have a very hard time downloading that file withouth corruption given your current net connection.
Maybe there are some download managers that could help?
Something that's better at managing downloads than your web browser.

I don't really know though, I'm not familiar with download managers.
