Not sure I will go with space grey, maybe gold, or the usual grey.
As to thinner wouldn't mind it a bit thinner, but would prefer not slanted.

By the way to lighten up this thread, maybe everybody can discuss which colour he/she will choose ! :)
I'd probably get the rose gold or the space grey, but would love an all black version if they came out with one

This tells me that they just expect standard increases based on the upcoming school year. If this was a major design/upgrade change I'd think they'd hype it up a bit more.

Maybe, but there's always been a Mac product update in June/July for the last several years. Without that, I imagine sales of previous June quarters would have been more flat. They wouldn't be anticipating standard increases if they're not following the standard cycle of updating something in that timeframe.

"I've been mad for ******* years, absolutely years. I've been over the edge for yonks. Been working with apple so long, I think. Crikey"...Dark Side Of The rMBP?

Feel's that way sometimes..

I'd go for the classic silver. I don't like dark products. Kills my mood

Color is the essence of life. But gold and rose gold on a work laptop, I don't know..... Gold products always seem so cheap to me if it's not actual gold. Just feels like someone is trying to come off posh, with a piece of cheap plastic (in this case aluminium).

I will 100% get a Rose Gold iPhone 7s though!

I read it as an increase over the current quarter, which though happens every year is akin to Apple's "greatest X ever" statement that they make on every product released ... ever.

I had the same thought until I read the meaning of "sequential" in the context of financial reporting. Still, previous Q3s have had an update beforehand right?

Anyway - it's surely going to be announced at WWDC. They have the CPUs. They will want some sort of redesign to support usb-c on more than just MacBooks. They recently refreshed the MacBook and Air but not their other leading laptop brand - big clue. Their big sales period for Macs includes the back to school season and their current MBP line-up is aging compared with the competition so they need something to maximise revenue. The only question for me is whether they get Polaris in time for June.

That's good enough for me, the 15" is too large for my needs.:)

Okay, one question. What if Apple only announce the 13in rmbp at WWDC?

not a chance...the 13" cpu was ready since january

It wasn't at all. Why do you people keep repeating this? Just now the first laptops are being released. Check Geekbench how many benchmarks you find there running the i7 suitable for the 13 retina (i7-6567u).

Sony was Shipping the Vaio Z with the 6567u since early March.

Indeed, looking at the last five years there's always been an update in the beginning or the middle of the year. I can't see Apple not refreshing/updating the Pro line-up.

Maybe reading past transcripts isn't a good idea for maintaining our sanity. From Q2 2015, emphasis mine:

The June quarter is off to an exciting start with great new products and services. Three of them in particular are giving our customers a glimpse of the future, and we are very happy with the reception that each of them is receiving.

First, the all-new MacBook began shipping just over two weeks ago, and we're very happy with the response we're getting from customers. The new MacBook is our lightest, most compact Mac notebook ever — and you really have to see it to believe it. It features a stunning 12-inch Retina display, a new Force Touch trackpad, all-day battery life, and a revolutionary new keyboard. We believe — and I think most everyone agrees — this is the future of the notebook.

I think redesigned Macs are very likely this hear.
This year falls in the redesign year (2008, 2012...2016?).
40th Anniversary of Mac.
And also, considering the iPhone design was nearly identical for 2 years in a row, and the supposed 7 doesn't seem all that different either...you know the design team is working on something new.

I popped into the Apple Store the other day, and I'll be damned if it wasn't hard not to walk out with the new rMB.*Sigh* How many days to WWDC again?
