So HD 580 is 10% slower than desktop GTX 750 Ti in Dirt 3 with similar settings. Not bad, at all.
Especially considering HD 580 is a laptop iGPU while the 750Ti is a desktop one...!

Well, actually GM107 which is in GTX 750 Ti is the same GPU die that is in GTX 950M, 960M, 850M and 860M.Especially considering HD 580 is a laptop iGPU while the 750Ti is a desktop one...!
It's also bull-sh-it.With Apple you are guaranteed bleeding edge design leadership, high quality parts and unified hardware/software. The machine is "guaranteed" to work to a much higher degree than anything the likes of Dell or Lenovo can hope for. It looks better, instills design appreciation in the owner and just works. It's also easier-to-use and more productive. It also costs about $1000 more than the equivalent off-the-shelf Dell, but tough. Who ever said Apples were low cost? They aren't. The MBP is a premium productivity tool for professionals. If you want to take the chance going out to a business meeting with a Dell under your arm and hope it works, gives a good impression and will be fast/reliable/etc., knock yourself out.
OMG, 4 weeks until WWDC. I will miss this thread![]()
This isn't a comparison thread for apples/oranges/pears.
Nor is it a thread for talking about XPS and Razor or whatever.
They are low-quality build, low quality design and not integrated products.
If I was a Microsoft C# developer, I'd want an IBM workstation, Windows 10 and Visual Studio. I would not want to be taking chances with a Dell (who have a very poor rep) that's made out of poor quality parts or even worse, a new entrant company like Razor.

Depends what you're doing and what business/customers you deal with. But in the place I operate at, you can simply forget about buying a lemon/orange/pear. That's the end of any further discussion as far as I'm concerned. There are lots of other threads for the meaningless meandering.
@cmChimera
Hm, nice to describe yourself as a troller. I'll delve into this deeper later on. And are you sure you don't feel obligated to care about his tantrum? Here are three of some of your last replies to this thread:
>Hahaha at obviously fake Serban predictions
>So you'd be willing to let the macrumors staff verify you right?
>And nothing of value was lost.
Looks to me like you're a big jealous here that someone's taking the spotlight. And you know what? I don't mind. I've been viewing this page as a non-registered user since around page 300, and although discussions have been made, I did not notice such a leap in amount of actual talks of Iris Pro... dGPU vs. eGPU... Quality of the screen... ThunderBolt 3 and the possibility of the new rMBP's working with a device like the Razer Core... All within less than 20 pages, and all since Serban came here to discuss the possible "leaks" of the rMBP.
Am I saying I believe this guy? No - of course I'm suspicious. But at worst, as I said before, what this guy brings is a platform of discussion that this thread was made for. So while all of this discussion goes on, if a good portion of your recent posts on this thread is targeting Serban, while everyone else is in discussion of these MacBook Pro's (Notice that very few people besides you are talking about Serban's legitimacy and are instead branching out of what Serban discussed to other topics aforementioned), yes, that makes me have a picture in mind of a college student who makes snide remarks of what the teacher is saying, despite not having anything helpful or meaningful to contribute.
So yes, the fact that you describe yourself as a troll, make these meaningless comments at Serban while everyone else is using the info to his/her own advantage to make quality discussion, and portray yourself as a snarky ******* are great qualities to have, for sure. In fact, I think you may be the pinnacle of a MacRumors user. Just like MegaMan in your avatar - a robot.
And just because you were in this thread before I was registered makes it even worse for you. Haven't you had to deal with all of these antics then at whatever page X it was when you came here? I'm not even going to bother wasting my time looking to see where you started coming in, but if you were acting this snarky even back then, then good job - you've made little contributions as a snarky ******* since (476-x) pages ago. If you were revered by users for your vast contributions to this thread for raising good points or bringing up topic points that no one else has made, and you were a registered user long ago, then sure, I would've thought to myself, "Man, I should watch what I'm saying. This guy knows what he's doing." But you're just a pathetic guy who is metaphorically in a corner of a large room where everyone else is in the center discussing these rumors, trying to grab attention by saying these snide marks.
Lastly, good to know that you fall into the trap of the "If I'm not experiencing the problems, then we shouldn't get go at it and solve it." In fact, your anecdotal evidence of you owning a MacBook makes literally, again, 0 contributions. If I were a technician and wanted to solve and remove a virus in an office building, who do you think I'll be most interested in? People who have the virus? Or people who don't? Spoilers if you don't know the answer - people who do. I want to see if I could find the answers - why this computer, when, what virus, and how does this virus act, and how can we remove it. This is an aside to the main argument I will make, but the "Hurr durr MY MacBook Pro doesn't experience this issue) is a useless comment in validating the existence of said problem and Apple trying to fix these problems.
And I'm not sure if you noticed, but the models of the 2011-2013 rMBP's (15 in., and 17. for 2011) as well as the 2013 Mac Pro all have the same issues. And you know what comment the Apple representatives online and at store made when I brought in my 2012 rMBP 5 separate times? "It must be an issue stemming from the dGPU." And these aren't the typical college kid Apple representatives - I am talking of the actual technicians.
So I will admit that aside from the dGPU acting up in my MacBook Pro, it runs great. OSX is the one I've fallen in love with (Aside from gaming, which will always be tied down with Windows 10, unfortunately). However, at this point, it's a gamble. Will my computer freeze up again? Will the screen just shut off? Will the fans kick up unnecessarily even when I'm using Word or Notes? It should not BE a gamble when you purchase a $3100 computer, and that is my point - these situations of gambles will only get worse with the new model. It seems that all rumors and speculations point to a THINNER MBP. Imagine all of these problems people have faced with the dGPU models of the MBP (And aside from the 2011-2013 models, plenty of people have experienced these in the 2014-2015 ones, so don't be surprised if Apple releases a statement similar to the 2011-2013 ones), but in a smaller form factor. Of course the problems will be accentuated, if not even made worse. So fine - if you or anyone else wants to experience the awful form factor that will accommodate the dGPU and roll the dice to see if you experience these problems, feel free to. It's your money. But bring up facts to support your reasoning, rather than your pathetic "anecdotal evidence," which as I pointed out earlier, was even more pointless.
Feel free to put me on your ignore list if my posts bother you enough to inspire such a long-winded rant.
Nah, I'll just enjoy this moment because of the fact that instead of replying with a coherent argument or any evidence, you resort to trolling and asking people to put you on their ignore lists (LOL). Good things to go by in life - you'll do great!

If we don't see a legitimate rumor in the next two weeks we will not get a redesign, but a refresh only. If the refresh does not occur by WWDC, the MBP will continue to be sold as "new" just as is the MP. Apple will focus their attention elsewhere, just as they stated they would...Where is a solid piece of intel for WWDC!?!

I'd be perfectly happy with a refresh of the current 15, with skylake and polaris (polaris 11 is supposed to be 50w tdp like the m370x, but we will see)If we don't see a legitimate rumor in the next two weeks we will not get a redesign, but a refresh only. Apple Tv will be dead long live the new thing
In other words seems that will never be a apple tv 5
