It will arrive when it does. It will suit your needs or it won't.
Definitely.
Gonna need a citation on that.

You do realize there has already been a MB update in Q3 this year? April was in Apple's fiscal Q3. Also that article is just mixing up things and doesn't make sense, all other articles, even on that website, say the MBP will be 4Q16... I don't see what this MB Q3 news has to do with somehow meaning the MBP won't come out till calendar Q4.Right, he's referring to to Pros there. I was talking about the MacBooks, as is the article.
It's simply unclear. It could mean calendar or fiscal, and none of us know for sure. You do realize there has already been a MB update in Q3 this year? April was in Apple's fiscal Q3. I know for sure, that Ming-Chi Kuo is referring to fiscal, because he has never referred to calendar quarters unless he has specified "fall", "summer" etc... He is a securities analyst, and as someone who is invested in Apple and has followed Kuo through the years, I can tell you with certainty that he is indeed referring to fiscal quarters. Like I posted a few pages back, showing proof from past "rumors" from him, showing how he refers to Apple's fiscal quarters... all securities analysts follow a companies fiscal quarters, and not calendar (unless they are the same, which they are not in Apple's case). It's simply unclear. I believe you, and I'm also leaning towards the idea that he means the fiscal quarter. The only reason I can't say I'm sure about it, is that every article that I've seen about it has been all bummed out about it being later than expected. I assume they've been able to read the actual note, which I haven't.I know for sure, that Ming-Chi Kuo is referring to fiscal, because he has never referred to calendar quarters unless he has specified "fall", "summer" etc... I think it will be darn cool if the keys actually had logos or text saying what the function keys do instead of just F1 through F12

I'm just wondering how many tech journalists are familiar with the idea of fiscal quarters though? 4Q16 seems something copied straight out of his report so who knows... But the OLED bar... Gut instinct is to hate it but who knows maybe Apple can perfect it....?I believe you, and I'm also leaning towards the idea that he means the fiscal quarter. I never said I didn't believe they wouldn't remove it, I'm just saying doing it this early on is dumb.
Apple - this had better be good!
If it is delayed until calendar Q4 I blame Microsoft (like a true Mac fanboy). They seriously upped the ante last Autumn with Surface Book/Pro 4. This caught Apple off-guard and forced them back to the drawing board to develop a product so advanced it will trigger an alien species to make first contact.
Love the idea of the dock being moved to the OLED screen.
Seems like a brand new feature that's never been seen before. Digital signature you say?Hint:
The future is digital signature, you will be able to sign with your apple pencil with force trackpad etc i dont know still if with next macos you will be able to sign with your pencil on the macbook pro trackpad any legal document etc
Just so we're clear, this isn't new at all, and there are plenty of digital signatures. No but some countires are adopting digital signatures for official documents so i think if apple will start this mainstream will be globaly
Wow. That would be awesome! Being able to just tap the app you want to start, just like on your phone/tablet!What if it would "replace" the dock?
It is not mainstream globaly recognized by the courts or governmentsJust so we're clear, this isn't new at all, and there are plenty of digital signatures.

Why are you always so disdainful ? Do you think you are superior ?Just so we're clear, this isn't new at all, and there are plenty of digital signatures.

I feel certain that this is what it is.Wow. That would be awesome! Being able to just tap the app you want to start, just like on your phone/tablet!
If you want your pen and paper signature to be digital it is really easy...
Just write it with a black pen on a white paper, hold it up to the camera and tell preview to import it.
now you have it digitally for when you need it...
There is no reason you should need an Apple Pencil and a fancy trackpad for that...
