Maybe he meant Apple's 2016 Fiscal 4Q, which would mean a release between June 26th - September 25th (This is Apples fiscal 4th quarter).

When are we expecting the next version of MacOS? That's when the new MacBook Pros will most likely be released with OS support for things like Touch ID. Fiscal Q4 definitely makes sense.

yes the most radical from the 3.But it exist
[doublepost=1464069705][/doublepost]
its the same mechanism but not the same low travel but it is even more reliable keyboard

Okay. Thanks for the info! The question is not whether this exists. But whether it is really gonna be the one they'll ship in the end! Kuo might just have heard ONLY about this prototype...

Anyhow... would you be willing to share some more details about this radical prototype...
A confidential PM would be okay with me :D
I can keep a secret!

Here is more proof that Ming-Chi Kuo is referring to 4Q16 as fiscal fourth quarter and not the actual calendar 4Q.

https://www.macrumors.com/2016/04/24/apple-declining-iphone-shipments-2016/

On April 24th he said: "Given the fact that shipments fell YoY for the first time in 1Q16, we don't think large-screen replacement demand will contribute much to growth."

Apple's 2nd quarter earning's (first calendar qtr of 2016) hadn't been released till April 26th. So when he said 1Q16, the info he was using was from the time frame of September 27th, 2015 - December 26th, 2015.

Which means that 4Q16 to him is June 26th - September 25th, 2016. If true then a unveiling at WWDC works perfectly with a late June/Early July MBP shipments.
It has to be the fiscal q4 October would be far too late , kaby lake could be starting to come out by that time !

Not sure how I feel about this oled bar...
And the fact that there is going to be a 13" rmb will hopefully mean that gets the 15w chips and the 13mbp gets the 28w

No oled display screens 100%.
Meaning main screen?

yes the most radical from the 3.But it exist
I don't understand what's the goal of that oled stripe bar?

Did it look like Lenovo's carbo x1 ?

What.
4 pages in one night.
This thread is getting excited!
Anyway... it has to be WWDC.
There is no better date to present such a radical new product like a redesigned MacBook Pro.
And I don't see Apple loosing all the students from June to September.
So no october release.

Speaking of the rumor itself: I'm glad something came up at last, but still that sounds kinda weird to me.
Most of all, the touch OLED bar.
What is its purpose? o_O
Please, Apple.
You don't have to make strange new design features.
Put Skylake, Polaris, a better terraced battery, improve the display quality and you'll sold tons of new MBP.
It's so simple...

That's the one.
Believe they ditched it shortly after...sure apple would have some new functionality.. But still..

Source: Next MBP supports some of the "Pro" features built into the iPad Pro line - namely, the pencil, and the device will support orientations that make pen use viable. Software support will be included in MacOS, hence holding the device for WWDC. June announcement, early July availability.

Huh...

Damn, that's disappointing, when the F... are they going to release them if not WWDC.. Late Q3/Q4 will be far too late for me.
dont forget, since no more october events for mac and ipad, no more release for the next macos then. so the next macbook pro maybe will be release with next macos build in

None of the reports I've seen of the news have seemed to even mention the possibility of Kuo meaning fiscal calendar.

Sorry guys, but it's almost definitely referring to the calendar quarter, not the fiscal quarter. The reason I say that, is because he also leaked that the 13" rMB will be releasing in Q3. We won't be getting a rMBP at WWDC. I know ya'll are trying to twist the leak to your narrative, but if Kuo is right, there's 0 chance of a new Pro at WWDC.
