Who else here already has 100% of the money for this damn laptop just sitting in the bank making interest?!

I don't, but I have been saving up for it and there are other things I want. My bike was stolen recently and I want a new one (the one I want is about $1200), but I'm not getting it because I'm waiting for the stupid MBP! So if it doesn't come...days will be rued...

No, you are one of the lucky ones.

The others, students I mean, will have to save up for this. And we have no idea how much to save up for, considering Tim Cook's getting greedier by the second.

Yeah if I get one, I'm maxing it out to the max. ;) I want 1 TB of storage for sure, as well as a quad-core processor. My 13" rMBP was decent, but it did seem underpowered at times. This time around I'm getting a fully load 15-inch (in gold!) that I'll hope will last for at least the next 3 years.

my 2010 is still going so nearly six years, so i'm hoping this 2016 will take me to 2020. Thats why I NEED TB3/USB-C. Thunderbolt 2 will die slowly once the rMBP, Mac Mini and iMac are updated.

I'm out. Done with 15" MacBook Pro's. Apple is a very sly company. Like I said numerous times before, I had so many problems with the 2012 retina MacBook Pro 15". It was only because I insisted that they decided to send it to the repair depot and get the logic board/dGPU replaced. The people working "insisted that this is a rare occurrence" and that the problem will be fixed hopefully after each logic board replacement.

Well after 5 times, I still go the same results. Miraculously, Apple released the repair program extension that included the 2011-2013 retina MacBook Pro's. I used this as evidence on top of the fact that I went to the Apple Store 5 separate times to demand a replacement computer. Getting the 2015 model, I thought I was done with this.

Sad story. Very bad luck or technical problems from your side: i would recommend to check electricity connection, sockets, neutral earthing, buy new supply-line filter (surge suppressor). At least they agree to service it again and again.

I think we might have to get a mid2015 off ebay and sell it a few months later for 100€/$ less.
I NEED a laptop and if WWDC doesn't deliver, I can't wait patiently without a laptop anymore

Asus just announced a Surface Pro like tablet using 7th gen Intel processors.

It's really annoying that Intel is releasing Kaby Lake Core-m now but the chips with Iris graphics will likely be released next year.

:) Computex will entertain us for this week. Time will fly by...I wonder whether ASUS will present new Zenbook or not :)
