They delay the 2015 update for the 15 inch MacBook Pro... but still release it just before new processors are out.
This was weird. But seeing as how there were so many delays with Broadwell, I'm guessing they were hoping for an earlier release. And then when they saw they'd have to wait even longer, they just released what they had.

The trouble is that by delaying them until Q4, by then a new version of a component, be it RAM, the SSD or whatever, will be just about to come out...
Right, damned if they do, damned if they don't. Apple basically decides what they feel to the be most important components, and release when they all fall into place. Us as users have to make a decision on what components matter to us the most, and buy when the model that corresponds with that is released.

Btw. Even though Apple will announce and release their new rMBP. Are you guys really instantly buying it? As for me, Im going to wait for some tests, benchmarks, reviews. etc.
Because even Apple isnt expected to release the non-plus-ultra whatever anymore. Even they might crash things up. (ruining macbook by forcing ppl to transfer slowly to iPad ?)

I'm instantly buying the 15-16", yeah. I currently have no laptop and no OS X device. It's killing me! The iPad is not a laptop replacement, no matter what anyone says. And being forced to use Windows instead of OS X all the time is no good either. I also want to make sure I have a laptop before college starts, but if it comes out in October (which is seeming all the more likely) then there's not much hope for that I guess. :(

Is there some rule somewhere that Apple can't simply slide in a new processor without some over the top keynote address? Broadwell > Haswell is the same socket, right? Might require a minimally updated board if that. Just lazy and complacent.

Man having a doozy of a time buying a used Macbook on Craigslist. Really guys, your hardware is 4 years out of date, no warranty and you want to let it go for a 'bargin' at 10% off retail price? B*tch Please.

Well, no. The update last year had no fanfare. Just a press release. The update was meaningful though. They could have came out with a processor refresh with Broadwell later in the year, or early this year. For whatever reason, they didn't. (Probably dedicated resources to redesign instead)

Ok, since i have limited time, and from some unknown reason i can't select all of you from the list and send the same message, ill post here.

since we are on MBP topic....Apple is thinking, since they don't make an presentation like last year for ipad pro and apple tv to add for iphone event the Macbook Pro with Apple display to that event and release the MacOS and iOS at the same time.

From my personal taste and point of view this will be a big software WWDC. I love where they are going..
Tb3 confirmed, that oled display is confirmed , they managed to offer around 10h for both of them

So rMBP to be announced with the iPhone in September?

So no MBP announcement till iPhone event? I find it hard to believe that they announce iPhone and MBP on same event. It will be huge iOS event, why mix it up?

Anyway we are ****ed.

So will it be announced at WWDC. Yes or No?

I must say, although some of the bugginess/quality issues of the XPS line has so far stopped me from buying a laptop, this Zenbook 3 is pretty tempting.

Yea, it has basically the form factor of the 12" MB but has an i7 in it! Not an m core!

yes, they are thinking if they can fit apple watch 2 with iphone with macbook pro and apple display in one event

No release for MBP at WWDC

That's a very exciting September then!
