Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

If I remember correctly the ship times don't usually slip when there is a redesign, only if it's a spec bump, but I could be wrong. Anyone know?

What keeps my hopes alive is that Apple is probably gonna make a big deal about Siri coming to MacOS and i'm sure they wanna show her off on that shiny new panel. Out-of-the-air speculation of course but .. yeah.
I still need hard convincing to see the benefit of that panel, and it isn't all gimmicky, but hope to see it on Keynote anyways
 
The day has finally come... But we're still on page 651 Let's see how close we get to 666 before 19h (continental Europe)

I am really hoping for the new rMBP! My 2009 mbp is behaving funny, lately...

Okay, I think I'm finally going to bed after a long day of discussing mass shootings and laptops non-stop. I'll be here to either celebrate or commiserate with everyone tomorrow morning :D

Still hoping that a new MBP will at least be announced. It doesn't have to be available now. But I at least want to hear about it. I can take a few months of waiting for something I know about and know is coming. I don't think I can take more months of not knowing and wondering about what may or may not come. Please, Apple, don't drop the ball here. That's all I can say :apple:

Alternatively we could see Siri running on an OLED watch band, but I think that's less likely.
 
I am sure that we are going to reach page 666 during the WWDC ;) This thread will turn into a live ticker/chat.

I was talking about the E3 with Windows & Microsoft conference.

Thinking about WWDC I could not be more bored. I'm glad E3 starts, so there is one thing I can be hyped about.

After 3 months of excruciating waiting and waiting since the last keynote and after too long in general, let's all sit in a circle and pray to master Steve that they will announce the new MBPs today.

I really need a new laptop now, I don't know what I'll do if they aren't announced today. They only good alternative Windows-wise are the XPS 15 but they are so full of issues and I would be devastated to spend so much money to get a defective unit. On the other hand, I can't buy a 2015 MBP today...what to do.. :(

Yes, during the event!
Every time they say something like "innovative!" "the best * we've ever made" "gorgeous!" "thinner" "5X" we can drink.
It's going to be funny. And as you say, if the MBP will be announced, we were already partying. If not, we would be happy already thanks to alcohol!

If there is no announcement for the rMbp today, I'm gonna buy a new battery for my 2011 MBP and keep waiting! I've decided to give my money to apple only if they worth it.
