I am not sure why some people think that there will be hundreds of pages of outrage if the new MBP doesn't come up during WWDC. I think that we are all pretty conditioned to disappointment by now and used to waiting, so I think that most will handle it well. We will just continue waiting, which we are professionals at now.
Lol, you should know better.
Also, the "disappointment" people show here is just anticipation and hope but masked, to convince themselves that they won't be affected or at least in major way. Watch this thread reach the 700 by the end of the day.

P.S Happy (or not) WWDC everyone!

Sincere question: were you here in march?

This thread grew by 100+ pages that evening.

We all cried and hugged.

I believe we have two kind of possibilities:
1 - we are already used to disappointment, thanks to March Event and all this confused rumors, so after WWDC the majority of us will be quite calm
2 - another disappointment and another Keynote about Bands, Liam and bulls*hit will lead us crazy.

I have to say, though, right now I'm more into the second one.
If no MBP will be announced, I'll start react like this every time I'll heard the word "MacBook Pro"

I know how I can blow you guys away. There is a benchmark out there in the internet of Polaris 11 GPU. It is small 115 mm2 die size GPU, with under 50W TDP.

It scores in 3dMark FireStrike Extreme 2814 pts. Around... desktop GTX 980 performance.

Holy hell, this is Macbook Pro GPU...

I made a mistake :p. Ive got so excited that I thought that Extreme is the same as Ultra. It isn't. The small 115 mm2 GPU has exactly the same level of performance as... R9 380X/R9 M395X.

Off topic: I ordered a Kindle paperwhite while I am waiting. There was a pricing error for $19.99 and I bought it. The order was cancelled but after it already shipped. It's coming today. If the new macbook pros aren't announced I'll maybe start reading again just to take my mind off of things.

The event is gonna be on at like 3am on the 14th where I live, but I also have an exam on the same day at 11am :( debating whether or not I should stay up and watch

Can't Remember correctly but I think that I've always had the same problem even in dual booting Windows and OS X. So maybe you just need a watch with NEW BANDSSSSS!

Alreaddy have a LG Watch Urbane. Thanks anyway for the new bands offer, but I'd rather take a new laptop x)

Picking up my macbook pro late 2011 from apple today - dGPU died last week. Im secretly hoping they could not fix it for some crazy reason and I'll walk in and be presented with a new 2015 rMBP... I've replaced the LCD, memory and HDD --> SSD in this thing, so its basically a brand new computer now (alas still at 2011 specs).

I want to believe... really that today is our day. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst...

Also want to share the insanity of this thread -- there is a 'rule' in web development/online communities that says

90% of users are lurkers... just consume content
9% of users are light contributors - i.e. 'hit a like button' and
1% of users are true 'contributors'...

So if this epic thread holds to those numbers, while we have ~ 20K replies (that represent the 1%), we really have an army of people REALLY interested in this next macbook pro. That doesn't even account for the non-obsessed people who don't macrumor at all...

It'll probably drop a bit after those people like me waiting for some kind of announcement today just order the 2015 after hearing nothing. I'll still come back though and when the 2016 does drop - I'll commence to kicking myself in the arse for buying it. Then again - no magsafe, all new adapters, this thing had better be damn good when it does drop.

What's the side bet on what time we hit page 666? I'd say 10:15 AM PST..

Honestly, I'd just sleep and look at the reactions when you wake up. If you open this sub-forum and the first thread you see is the number to the suicide hotline: you have your answer on how the keynote went.

For all of you giving in and buying a 2015, that's exactly what apple wants...
We have to show them that nobody will buy a MBP until the 2016 comes out. That way it comes out sooner.

People are still buying cMBPs which is sad.

If they don't announce something, I may get a MacBook 12" and 5k iMac.

Man, really? If I were in your position, I'd get a maxed out 13" MacBook Air (Still cheaper than the maxed out 12" rMB) and a nice PC (Latter is debatable if you absolutely hate Windows/Linux)
