I don't really see how this makes Macs less likely to be announced at the same time.http://9to5mac.com/2016/06/15/apple-watch-2-launch-date-2/#more-435370
Apple Watch + iPhone 7 all together...MBP release seems very unlikely then

Agreed. iPhone in September, Mac event in July. Hopefully.Watch & iPhone together makes sense. Maybe a stand-alone Mac event in the near future makes sense.
At WWDC, they mentioned that macOS Sierra won't be released until Fall of this year, so don't expect any new MBPs before then.
Since there doesn't seem to be anything drastically new with the new watch/iPhone, they should have enough time on stage to release new MBPs as well (in September).

Yeah there's no way the new MBPs will be released before macOS Sierra, especially if they have OLED bars that need Sierra to function. Fall at the earliest.
I don't really think they'll announce all this stuff together. Although seeing as they structure their events now as "some unimportant stuff > some less unimportant stuff > 30 minutes of emojis > one more thing being a soul-sucking crushing disappointment" they might do new Macs > Watch 2 > iPhone 7 > 30 minutes on how you can add emoticons to your messages using power of the mind > Eddy Cue performing "It's Raining Men" with U2.Since there doesn't seem to be anything drastically new with the new watch/iPhone, they should have enough time on stage to release new MBPs as well (in September).
I feel like at this point we're all just sad to still be here.
The opposite!
Even considering the sadness and the delusion of being here, still waiting, this place is quite nice.
I like be here chilling and having fun with you guys.

I agree--this thread is mostly just a "chill zome" for me. No one I know in "real life" cares about the new MBP, so I come here![]()
GOOD LOOKS.
14nm vs 28nmGOOD LOOKS.
This uses 35W to get the same performance as the 960m which uses roughly 60W.... dayummmmm

Some more information on the 'touch bar' through references in MacOS Sierra...
If there are rumors that confirm this within a month I'll wait. That'll be 3 weeks after my new schoolyear starts, but oh well...Now its clear. The back to school event ends at September 5. Assuming the iPhone event is at September 6. They announce the mbp's the same event and shipping both 2 weeks later with new iOS and macOs! Simple!
