Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

you'll regret it. Trust me i have a 2013 MBA and really wish i had just spend the extra ~200 for the retina scren
I've used rhe 2015 model for several months before i gave it back to a friend and love it. To me, its one of the last greatest Apple laptops. Best battery life within this enclosure, great keyboard, good UI, can output 4k at 60hz, and cheap+easy replaceable batteries. No more need to eorry about paying Apple $400 since it smartly attached the top case to the battery. If this sale is still on when i wake up later, ill grab it, and just build my own PC.
I like the idea of a female lightning port on the new MBP. Would also make it more suitable for the Pencil. And Apple already offers a series of dongles that will be ready to use for the MBP then (USB, SD-card, HDMI, VGA etc).
One thought - what if Apple would make the ports hybrid? So it would accept both male USB-C and Lightning plugs? They are similar in size, so perhaps its doable. Would be like the hybrid USB-A/eSATA ports that some laptops have.

TB3 is compatible with USB-C by default.

I've had an Air since November and battery capacity fluctuates between 98% and 103%. But I only have 42 cycles.
Uh oh. AMD leaked (accidental or not) a GPU list that seems to include all of their GPU's that will be out before the end of the year. Guess what's not on the list? The rumored Polaris 11 RX 480M that would go in the skylake mbp 
The rebranded non-polaris 4xx GPU's are on there, as well as the not-yet-released RX-460, and not-announced-yet-probably-Vega RX-490.

Assuming the rMBP gets the same GPU class, it would probably get the R9 M470X, which is on there.
We have heard about the R9 M470X from some news sites though, and it looks like it is a variant of the older Bonaire chip (better than Cape Verde, but still)

That would be just pure disaster
But as I said earlier, after polaris 10 debut and polaris 11 is on same architecture I have real doubts that amd can fight with nvidia on mobile segment. Maybe thats ok, I will stay on my brodwell macbook pro 13 and save some money Maybe they won't go with AMD. Those rumors are just that , rumors. I'm still crossing my fingers for a 1060M

macOS Sierra contains Polaris drivers. Somewhere 50 pages back or so in this thread.
I have exactly the same doubt.
If Apple will use a rebrand, and considering Skylake CPUs are finally available.... what the hell are they waiting for?!
I still hope for RX 480M.
