Last year we had March / June / September events.

We've had March / June events this year so far. I'm not sure they'll do four in a year with two in the fall. But they could. Nobody knows. They have more products and software to talk about than ever.

It's almost July so we're that much closer to the fall. Stay strong.

Except, they've done so many many many times.

When I started in the Mac world, back in 07, we had a late-August event for iMac, a September event for iPhone, and an October event for Macbooks/OS X Leopard. And we had many September+October events; usually iPhones in September and iPads and/or Macbooks in October.

Polaris 10 debut http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/RX_480/25.html Very dissapointing performance/power consumption ratio (on pair with 2 years old gtx 970 on 28nm and this new radeon is on 14nm).

AMD doesn't prioritize performance/power consumption ratio on their desktop cards. On their desktop cards they prioritize performance / $$dollar. In which the RX 480 is killing at.

The new AMD RX 480 seems like the perfect card (low TDP) for me to use with my new MBP 2016 as a eGPU:);)

Why do you care about low TDP for an eGPU??

It won't be.
Right now, there are good chances that Apple will go with the RX 480M which is cheap, slightly faster than the GTX 960M and with only 35W.
I could be really satisfied with it.

Looks good! Very exciting

Except we already saw the leak of the chassis. 4 USB-C ports and a headphone port. Nothing else. Don't really want a female lighting port anyway. The last thing anyone should want is a proprietary port.

We don't know for sure if it's the production chassis, could very well be it's a temporary chassis for prototyping, just like ahem... Serban... said... no?

Performance per Watt shows architecture strength and amd just as nvidia want to have good architecture. But probably not only architecture is a problem but also 14nm from Globalfoundries is worse than 16nm from Tsmc.

Very suspicious...... Not seen this in months....

Delivery times for MPB 13" standard models in Apple online store in Germany are slipping. Standard models 5-9 days instead of one-day delivery. BTO models 12-14 instead of 5-7 days.

It seems that something is coming. I am more than curious.

It's not "suspicious", it's not interesting, it doesn't mean anything. As was explained over and over in this thread.

Well, excuse my ignorance and that I haven't read 750 pages.

In the past, increases in shipping times were indeed suspicious.

Thank you for having you in this forum to state what you think is interesting and what is not interesting.

So far a slipping of delivery times at this magnitude at least in Germany (which has a very stable supply chain FMPOV) was no the case during the hundreds of pages of this thread.

Lets see if this is theses delivery times remain the case tommorow or if this is only a system glitch. If this remain tomorrow I will continue to consider this "suspicious". Please feel free and being invited to comment if you like....

Nothing suspicious about it. Can get a MBP delivered on Friday in the US same for the UK.

After being with this thread for Over a year I finally caved!! Just purchased a maxed out 2015 15" MacBook Pro with apple care on eBay for $2300. My 2010 mbp Gpu panics couldn't get me to you skylake, but we may meet in the future when I flip this baby for you!! Stay strong my fellow skylake waiters <3

I'm still curious as to what the OLED panel will be like, and if there will be touch ID. Else I'd probably just pick up a laptop now.

The holiday weekend probably has something to do with it
Yep. You're right...I totally forgot about that. Post deleted.

l'd say that TB3 and Touch ID are alone worth an upgrade, however I start to feel less confident in that statement, once I realize there's an OLED panel coming along as well.
