No we do know, and we know, 99.0% of operations should work without crashing for 99.0% of us.
Go use Windows, for god sakes please go use Windows, or Linux. I want my OS tested for 6 months on Skylake with a computer designed by the people who created all of the hardware, (or most of it). And I want things synergistic and integrated together. Not just 10 pieces slapped together real quick and shot out of a cannon. I want an additional 3 hours battery life, and Safari with it speed and power saving features that you can't get on any other OS... and further more... (I could go on for freaking weeks, WEEKS).
But by all mean freaking use Windows. And I am jerk about this now days, because to me it's a simple victory over any FOOL who wants to use Windows or even Linux. While you suffer senselessly for the next 2-3 or even 5 years, but I doubt any Windows usage could go that long. I will be in heaven with my Superb Laptop, that will end up having 1 or 2 things wrong with it or flaws that will drive me crazy. But I will be able to live with those 1-2 things, while you save $500 and freaking SUFFER IN TORTURE AND AGONY in Windows with 10 things wrong, then when backing up becomes such a bitch, and then you have to re-install and sit for hours re-installing for days! I can just slap an external drive on or a new SSD and Carbon Copy for 8 hours and I am right where I left off.
Stop and go use windows while I sip the Apple Koolaid...till the day I die. There isn't a choice anymore silly, it's like we're on a spaceship... damn!
Laters...
Lol... I'm sold on Apple but you have a seriously unrealistic view of Windows. I've got a Windows 10 desktop I've been running since 2008 or so with barely a problem, and a few upgrades along the way to keep it running like a modern machine. I've also got a 2012 laptop which also runs perfectly well despite having some pretty old tech in it. Never had major issues with either. I even used the dreaded Windows 8 for a majority of those years (it's not at all different from Windows 10 save for some UI differences).
My major issues with Windows are actually future-oriented, not based on how Windows works today. I'm worried about Microsoft's attitude regarding data privacy, forced software updates, the assumption that every PC has an unlimited data connection and their incessant UI optimization toward mobile/PC hybridization which just doesn't work for the form factor of a laptop or desktop.
That's why I'm still waiting for a new MacBook Pro. Technically I'd be fine with a 2015 MBP but I'm willing and able to keep waiting for the new iteration. Heck, for my professional needs I could even get by with a MacBook or even (gasp) an iPad Pro since I'm an author who occasionally uses Photoshop professionally (book covers!). But for hobbies I like to edit 4K video (GoPro and soon a Phantom 4 drone), as well as personal photos. I could do all these things well enough on a Windows PC but I'd prefer a Mac. But it anyone's thinking of switching it's not the end of the world for them.
