Let's take a more positive spin for this post:

When the new Pros are eventually released, given the rumoured graphics improvement that put even the base 13" with IGPU at being nearly on par with the dedicated option in the current 15", and then new 15" iGPU being better still, what games are people looking forward to being able to play on the move?

For me it's Cities:Skylines

I'm going to have a game of Pong going on my OLED bar

World of Warships. I play it on my 09 at 11fps right now.

Don't laugh but, DOTA 2. I can't play it well on my current mac.

Just under 800 cycles and at 72% battery health on my 2012 rMBP. Killing me how Apple advertises 80% capacity at 1000 cycles, but doesn't offer any support to actually cover those that don't get that. Can't even get 2 hours on a charge now.

Kinda crazy that you have all those Apple products, a customer the company is pleased to have and they won't do something about the battery for you.

Gold for the first Mobile Xeons go to HP and Lenovo, Lenovo P70 ships (optionally) with E3-1575M v5 with a staggering price (for the chip itself) of $1207.00 (higher clocks and lower tolerances). It was speculated a while ago that the Mobile Xeons would be "ahead of" the regular parts (with exception to Skull Canyon NUC) so perhaps the I7-6770HQ will make it into a macbook near us soon.

Okay, guys! I caved. This is my first time posting here, but I have been reading for quite a while. I start school in 2 weeks and needed a new macbook. The 2016 edition sounds amazing, but Apple was just taking too long. I got a great deal on the 2015 Retina Macbook Pro 15 inch. I paid only $1,600 - tax and all. I am really happy with my decision. I am going to be jealous when the new model comes out, but I saved $600. You can't beat that.

Great deal, and if you are happy and have peace of mind that is well worth it.
The rest of us will hang in, or so i hope... you never know with apple:confused:

25 posts per page, 192 pages to go if we want to hit 1000 by the September announcement. Announcement tentatively expected on September 6, which is 37 days away...

We'd need 130 posts per day to make it, which is one post every 11 minutes...

Guys, we're not gonna make it!

I'm sure Apple will help make it easier by not releasing them until November...

Rocket League, Tekken 7 and Sonic Mania.

Hopefully they will get a macOS release. I don't want to reboot to Windows every time I play a game.

Sorry, I haven't posted anything here since page 709. I'll try to be a little more active from now on to contribute towards our goal. :D

Agreed on the gaming front from others.

What I would love apple to do is partner with steam on get a built in Steam app for MacOS games. When you go the Mac App store, you will be automatically transfer to steam (or there's a steam gaming section in the app store) if you want to buy games for the Mac. Apple needs to do is don't take a major % in the profits (1-5%, not 30% or whatever it is now in the mac app store). I know this will not happen but I could dream.

This! Same situation, ....sharpening tool in Lightroom and my MacBook sounds like a Boeing 747 at full thrust.

Yep. On the 4K iMac that I'm using, the fans rev at full speed just from flipping through photos on "Photos". I mean, come on, I'm sick of this. I want something that has some actual graphics power. To quote John "Current Year" Oliver: "it's 2016!"

Yeah, those are just the current ones I use. I still have a ton more for my family (2 MBAs, another iPad, two iPods, two iPhones, and two Apple TVs). Though I haven't bought anything in over a year (since Apple Watch). I feel they've gotten too greedy for what they used to offer on new releases vs their previous gen. Each new iteration offers less new features/hardware vs previous reeases and yet their prices continue to increase (look no further then the 9.7" iPad Pro). $100 increase for arguably one of the weakest improvements yet.

Well, Apple wants all apps to be sandboxed, so this will most likely not happen. Plus, a lot of developers are already moving away from the Mac App store!

Yea, I've realized that lately and that's unfortunate. I do have to admit that I'm impressed with the windows marketplace on windows 10. Pleasantly surprised to see an mlb.tv app for windows 10 available.

Rocket League is supposed to get a Mac version, although there is no ETA. It's been delayed several times.

Yes, I'm aware of that. They pushed the release date back a few times and now no one knows when it's coming out.

I already play Rocket League regularly on my PS4 but I want to have it on a laptop to play some quick games when I don't have access to the PS4 or the TV.

Boot Camp or VMs are too much of a hassle if I just want to play a few quick games. VMs are also overprised and will not have as good performance as a native game.

Half-Life 3, because Skylake MacBook Pros will come out around the time that HL3 comes out.

Too late ... we're in the 800's. Gotta go around the horn.
