The Latin Times, Ecumenical News, and Christian Herald are all reporting on the MBP refresh. It must be right around the corner.
Is this sarcasm? The Latin Times, Ecumenical News, and Christian Herald are all reporting on the MBP refresh. It must be right around the corner.
I think you dropped this:The Latin Times, Ecumenical News, and Christian Herald are all reporting on the MBP refresh. It must be right around the corner.
You probably do not recall the big Beatles Event with a big countdown on Apple's homepage.Psshh, Loop You In was barely an event. Yea, I'm still bitter.
25 posts per page, 192 pages to go if we want to hit 1000 by the September announcement. Announcement tentatively expected on September 6, which is 37 days away...
We'd need 130 posts per day to make it, which is one post every 11 minutes...
Guys, we're not gonna make it!

That was a downer.
I picked up a rMB M7 version a few days back and for as much as I like it the price is what is killing me for what it is. My late 2013 rMBP 13" has no issues outside of my wanting a bigger internal SSD and some backlight bleed in one of the corners that I never noticed after 2 and a half years until now(sticks out like a sore thumb) but I thought I could probably condense and sell the MBP and iPad and use one portable machine.
For the price of the top end rMB, I'd be better off returning it and waiting for the rMBP to refresh since its likely to be as soon as next month with the iPhone announcement. And keep the iPad while I'm at it.
I don't get why LTE is wanted. It is clear that Apple encourages people to use their iPhone as a hotspot for LTE if needed. They explained that in their design video for the new MacBook.Going to hitch my tent in this thread and join you fine hobos.
And to add content, my wishlist:
1. Redesigned chassis (not that the current one is bad). Make it a bit lighter too.
2. Space grey or black (but only one color)
3. Better speakers
4. Keep the bezel the same if not a bit thinner.
5. LTE
6. 512 GB standard
Going to hitch my tent in this thread and join you fine hobos.
It is too espensive for what it offers that's for sure
LTE is not wanted but a very welcomed addition for me
I have been lurking in this thread for a long time, but I decided I will finally post.
I do not know how likely this is, but lets assume Apple is working on a MacBook Pro. What if this MacBook Pro is going to be revolutionary. I mean, we have seen what, 1 rumor on this laptop? The OLED panel? Maybe this is going to be the biggest MCP updated ever. This could be such an important project, they decided to make it their most secretive one as well. It is so important, they decided to wait almost 500 days to refresh.
I doubt this is true, but it is always nice to dream up cool possibilities.
Im not doubting what your saying, but would you please link me to the thread? I would like to give it a read.Well, Ming Kuo did say this is the biggest upgrade effort by Apple so far. Not sure what that means.
Unfortunately, no one can do work on a dream…I have been lurking in this thread for a long time, but I decided I will finally post.

Why do you think they will update a watch when they are having a HUGE upgrade software wise which makes the watch feel like a new device. Doesn't seem logical to me at all. Either way the original watch was "announced" in the september event but didn't actually get released till april 6 months later..Now, what I think WILL happen in September:
iPhone
MacBook Pro
Watch 2
Maybe iPad Air 3 or nextgen iPad Mini (this is more because they'd want to show off iOS 10 on an iPad together with an iPhone. Btw, does it make sense if I say that the iPad Air may be discontinued in favour of the smaller iPad Pro?)
So what with the other products?
Mac Pro will get a silent upgrade bumping the specs and possibly swapping some ports in favour of USB-C+TB3; I think that design is still radical enough to get away with, thermal core is mind blowing, it's very customisable and ultimately works.
Mac Mini will get a silent upgrade bumping the specs and swapping ports, just like the Mac Pro sometime this/early next year
MacBook Air will get aired in favour of the MacBook
iMacs will get a spec bump and possibly an upgrade in Spring.
Call me a wishful thinker
