You probably do not recall the big Beatles Event with a big countdown on Apple's homepage.

I picked up a rMB M7 version a few days back and for as much as I like it the price is what is killing me for what it is. My late 2013 rMBP 13" has no issues outside of my wanting a bigger internal SSD and some backlight bleed in one of the corners that I never noticed after 2 and a half years until now(sticks out like a sore thumb) but I thought I could probably condense and sell the MBP and iPad and use one portable machine.
For the price of the top end rMB, I'd be better off returning it and waiting for the rMBP to refresh since its likely to be as soon as next month with the iPhone announcement. And keep the iPad while I'm at it.

1. Redesigned chassis (not that the current one is bad). Make it a bit lighter too.
2. Space grey or black (but only one color)
3. Better speakers
4. Keep the bezel the same if not a bit thinner.
5. LTE
6. 512 GB standard

I don't get why LTE is wanted. It is clear that Apple encourages people to use their iPhone as a hotspot for LTE if needed. They explained that in their design video for the new MacBook.

It wasn't too bad until Apple changed all the prices because of the exchange rate. No way am I buying one now [he says as his Apple addiction goes into overdrive needing to buy a new computer, any computer...................]
I would have no use for this at all as am quite happy to wireless tether. It has been no issue at all so far and means one less sim account to worry about.
You know what I want? decent eGPU support. A nice thunderbolt 3 enclosure housing a GTX 1080 that can be plugged into my rMBP to give me a nice graphics boost. One where it just works, never crashes and is actually supported properly by macOS.

I do not know how likely this is, but lets assume Apple is working on a MacBook Pro. What if this MacBook Pro is going to be revolutionary. I mean, we have seen what, 1 rumor on this laptop? The OLED panel? Maybe this is going to be the biggest MCP updated ever. This could be such an important project, they decided to make it their most secretive one as well. It is so important, they decided to wait almost 500 days to refresh.
I doubt this is true, but it is always nice to dream up cool possibilities.

Well, Ming Kuo did say this is the biggest upgrade effort by Apple so far. Not sure what that means.

After seeing alot of switching from Apple to Windows based laptops, I am starting to see why comments like this are written...

Why do you think they will update a watch when they are having a HUGE upgrade software wise which makes the watch feel like a new device. Doesn't seem logical to me at all. Either way the original watch was "announced" in the september event but didn't actually get released till april 6 months later..
If they do update the watch it will be next year IMO (march event or WWDC)
Too much stuff there coevally and Apple doesn't like announcing Macs and iOS devices in the same event.
Unless they're desperate with their fallen Macbook sales, there will be a later event for MBP + X + Y. Silent update out of question since this is kinda big thing.
It wouldn't make sense to steal any spotlight from their biggest prodigy (that would be iPhone of course). And even more importantly from a money milking standpoint: allow customers spend most of their salaries for a $1000 smartphone––then let them work their asses off and buy the new MBP or a new Mac late October/early November.
Steady cash flowing in and woop woop it's the Holiday Sales season!
