I don't believe in a MBP update today.
But it is clearly really urgent, since they already should have updated it in june imo.
I don't know what takes them so long. They have the team and they have money to hire more engineers to get stuff done so why does this take so long

I'm sure the wait will be worth it. It always is

I hope so too. A substantial upgrade of the apples laptops would be hella great.
And I hope that they learned from their last presentation. This weird emoji update was really awkward and wasn't as cool as apple thought it would be

I am a bit in doubt about my hopes:
- Announcement later this year with an increasing possibility of kaby lake + a new 5K thunderbolt display :) :) :) :)
- Announcement today with Skylake :) :) :) :)

Upgraded my current laptop this summer and it is holding out reasonably well; so I can wait a bit more! (Especially since I have been practicing the art of waiting already for over 9 months now :) )

honestly I can't imagine such an important update without a single leak, it's all about Iphone7 and everything we have about MBP are the concepts picture and the same, repeated news from mysterious "close sources". I think it's better to be prepared, trying to limit the displeasure.

P.S. 4hrs remaining

They didn't have anything to learn from. Of course it was awkward as hell to watch but reactions were billion Youtube videos and 2,607 million articles themed "Now new emojis"

I honestly cba about any minor updates, all I want to witness is a new design :D. I completely agree with the emoji update, it wasn't really substantial...(unless you care about publicity)

So you assume they see this as a huge success? I don't think their stock course was the same opinion

I recently decided uni has prio, which is why I bought a maxed out 15" 2015 for 3000€. I have already received my headphones and wanted to check on the rMacBook Pro.
As I went on the link, I didn't get the usual display of my offer etc, but simply this screen:
What does that mean? Does Apple usually do that as well? Anybody got the same screen trying to access a specific service from Apple?

This is common prior to an Apple release

yes, this is normal. The apple store is always down before a new announcement.
However, you should have bought your mac on ebay as there are also maxed out new rMBP 15" but for a lower price

The Apple Store always goes down on the day of an event. Will be up again after the event.
