eagerly waiting for store to go down. :( i want at least a spec-updated Macbook, please!
I don't think they need to take the store down since no new products. They appear to be all software focus this year but mostly just bug fixes from prior years rather than actual software features. This is basically a skip year

Boy I miss Steve Jobs!

IDK I agree about the Jobs thing, but I also feel like Jobs would be in the same situation given Intel delays. We don't know how much time Apple has had with the new chips prior to their unveiling. It might be that they are making sure they are stable on macOS. but then again Jobs might have made it a priority to get the computers working or switched to A series processors already.

Please update us, this is quite interesting!

If they can’t fit an 8750H in the 15” MacBook Pro due to its extreme thinness and relatively poor thermal solution, they should introduce it in a 17” MBP with enhanced cooling, Vega graphics and an SD slot at around the same thinness. I think many people here would be thrilled at such a prospect. I know I would.

I would be ecstatic to have a 17" MBP back on my desk. The screen size is perfect for split screen work and is still portable. Like many others here, I babied and updated a 17" that was the last model made until I couldn't any more. I then passed it on to my daughter while she was working on her Masters degree and she fell in love with the 17" screen too.

Devs are more likely to ship quality if they respect their CEO.

I'm disappointed they haven't taken their stores offline just for the excitement even if they've nothing new. It's part of the experience Apple, who cares about losing online sales?

It's been so hard to be a Mac user for the last 20 years now. going to Macworld after 2001 was all about iPods every vendor, every event, iPod, iPod, Music, more iPods. Then Intel switch happened, prices didn't drop in line with Wintel machines, they stayed high then the iPhone came out and it's been iOS for years.

I really feel now that Macintosh is just a thing Apple does still. why would they concentrate on it, isn't mac like 5% of their revenue?

I hate Windows, Linux doesn't have the developer community. I don't use iOS beyond just for phone calls and Untappd so Macintosh is it for me but I just feel so under-served and it's not just apple, it's a lot of fault of Intel as well.

Mobile gets so much attention now but I can't get work done on a mobile. my iPhone 8 Plus struggles to open my 600 gigabyte iCloud photo library and I don't even put RAW images in there, just JPEGs. Lightroom, Photoshop Final Cut Pro, these are my tools of the trade and I'm not going to edit media on a 9" iPad without true multi-tasking and I/O

Apple keeps taking ports away , making keyboards and machines thinner, charging more for them and ignoring Mac OS. It's a sad day if they don't give us a small spec bump using Intel's latest chips.
