A cursory glance at MacRumor’s coverage was enough for me. So boring! It’s mostly just apologising and making up for all their problems in the past year, not that that’s a bad thing but still. 95% approval for iOS 11 ... who did they survey, the Apple executive board? I’m sure more Animoji will be featured at some point.

I’ve been thinking a bit about how and why Apple has changed. Those videos of Steve Jobs posted earlier in this thread (I think) sum it up pretty well. I’ll probably write a post about my thoughts soon.

Edit: There you go. New Animoji. Yay! /s

I welcome to focus on performance and bug fixes in their software. Snow leopard was awesome.

Maybe we’ll get the new MBPs next month or the month after.

I read september (optimistically speaking) for hardware updates: iphone, macbook pro, redesigned macbook air? I tend to agree that a mbp redesign isn't due until 2019.

Apple whiffed very, very badly with this 2016 iteration of the macbook pro. It seems like Ives has full authority over design decisions, which is not a good thing. The tyranny of esthetics and thinness has compromised functionality badly.

Oh boy this is one boring keynote. They manage to keep making the Keynotes worse and worse. There are no surprises anymore. There is no excitement. So many pun-jokes too it's annoying.

Whoever predicted the whole presentation (especially the dark mode presentation in macOS).. you are officially the oracle of this forum from now on ))

Haha, it actually went exactly as I predicted. :p

A big part of this keynote, especially the first half, looked like the bad copy of the Google I/O. They just copied a lot of features from Android (some of them very old) and had the courage to mock it.

Future is not looking good for Apple, company is just lagging behind and can't innovate anymore
