HELL YEAH . Absolutely worth it (A10X processor, quad core, according to rumors it will be first chip to use 10nm technology, also, Apple may increase the RAM in the upcoming models,. For what I have read the 12.9 could get 6GB of RAM, while the smaller one 3GB)Anyone else waiting on the upcoming release of the iPad Pro 2 12.9". Do you think it is worth waiting until March/April 2016?

Absolutely, iOS is evolving so quickly, the new device is going to be designed for iOS 11 and who knows what amazing features it will have.
The other thing is the hardware, it will likely be at least twice as quick, with true tone, better battery, and possibly a better screen. We are only 3 months away from finding out, you have got to wait!
...keeping in mind that is simply rumor and wishful thinking at this point.HELL YEAH . Or last week ??

I guarantee that no iPad will get 6GB RAM in 2017.
I guess what surprises me by those who are holding out is the implication that somehow the current models aren't sufficient or at the very least beginning to be taxed by the current version of iOS. For any functionality limitations (real or perceived), the bottleneck is iOS itself... not the iPad hardware.
Those who who are waiting missed out on some terrific deals on the 12.9 iPad Pro. $150-$175 off sales are nothing to sneeze at... except that some did.
I am, the specs of the 9.7 is all I'm asking for, along with more RAM, + A10Anyone else waiting on the upcoming release of the iPad Pro 2 12.9". Do you think it is worth waiting until March/April 2016?
GOOD FOR YOU!Yep I'm getting a 12.9 Pro for Christmas. My original Air is starting to slow down, and I am starting back school in January. I decided to get the pencil as well for class so I'm excited. I got around $150 off a 128gb IPP and pencil right before Thanksgiving. I've been patiently waiting for Christmas morning. I possible could have waited, but who knows just how big of an upgrade the 12.9 will receive? I got a decent deal and I needed a Christmas gift so there you go. A new IPP.
We will see... I am not going to purchase an iPad right now ,especially that it's only 3 months away ....keeping in mind that is simply rumor and wishful thinking at this point.

The latest rumor claims that the A10X will have 6GB of RAM +quad core processor . Versus A9X ( dual core ,4GB of ram)Though the version 1 iPP's are fully hardware capable and I don't fault anyone that buys one for X-Mass, especially at the discounts being offered, for me it's just too close to Refresh time to warrant not waiting. Also, I always buy the most up to date and capable computer that I can afford at the time just for future proofing. The A9X with 4Gb ram is plenty now but I'll be more than happy to have an A10(X?) with 4Gb(6?) ram for whatever 2017 brings to iOS.
As much as I think it is silly to think that the 12.9 iPad Pro will get a RAM bump to 6GB in March, if someone is determined to wait for it, they'll get no argument from me... but... when they use rumors (like 6GB RAM) to persuade others to wait as well, then I think they're doing a disservice to those people. If the A10X chip like the A10 fusion, then it won't really be true "quad-core". It'll probably be 40% faster than the A9X, just like the A10 fusion is over the A9.
But don't keep your hopes up for more RAM, at least not in the 12.9" model, since only that device has 4GB of RAM. Why in the world would they increase it?
That's very true. If anything, people should be looking at a future redesign as a reason to hold on buying one now, not a model that'll look exactly the same but just have updated specs and the nifty features found in the 9.7" model.
Possibly for better multitasking in case Apple makes improvements on that front. One thing to keep in mind, as far as I'm aware, iOS still doesn't have a storage backed virtual memory. If the A10X chip like the A10 fusion, then it won't really be true "quad-core". Yeah, it's time for the battery to improve. I'm positive it will, since the iPhone 7 got 2 hours, so I can see the iPad getting that as well.Possibly for better multitasking in case Apple makes improvements on that front. That said, I think I'd love to see what battery life improvement A10 will bring to the iPad line. Best battery life I've had was iPad 4 and it seems every model after, it gets just a wee bit shorter.
I'm fine not waiting for a sale on the new models. I want the Pro 12.9 256 GB WiFi+LTE Black and it's rare to find those on sale from authorized sellers and actually be in stock. Not only am I waiting for the Pro2 12.9" to come, but I'm waiting for it to go on-sale also before I buy.
Maybe for future iOS updates and for future iPad features ( which Will be exclusive to the iPad Pro 2)If the A10X chip like the A10 fusion, then it won't really be true "quad-core". It'll probably be 40% faster than the A9X, just like the A10 fusion is over the A9.
