possible torrent

Hi guys,

I also have problems with playing the WWDC stream. I press the link in my browser. Quicktime opens and shows a movie where I must choose between low medium or high. I press it, the window closes, a new smaller one opens but almost immediately closes again.

Anyway google helped me find a torrent link (google: wwdc stream torrent). (google also found this thread) The site is http://www.mactechnews.de/index.php?function=17&thread=30526&cat=2&answers=57
and the torrent link on that site is:
http://www.macprime.ch/SteveJobsKeynoteWWDC2005.www.Demonoid.com.torrent.zip

I am downloading it now. I am halfway there. It goes about 150kbyte/sec, so the torrent is alive. I can't say if it is actually the right file. Once I know it I'll edit this post.

File = 165.9mb

edit:

Yup it is the full keynote.
MPEG-4 Video, 632 x 356, Miljoenen
IMA 4:1, Mono, 22.050 kHz
379.17 kbits/sec
01:00:25.29

I think it is not the true HD stream, I see quite some artifacts and the resolution is also not higher than DVD. Also there is no sound at the end (or is that just my computer doing funny).

I'll submit it as a macbytes link

Infact, I got a web server in hong kong. Which can provide GBs of web space.

If you guys have some keynotes that do not appear on the above web site, you can contact to me, see how can we put that online.

my email: thomastsui@yahoo.com

Besides, here is some problem i worry about,

1. copy right?
2. Traffic? Too much traffic will definetly drive my serve down
3. As i am now studying in Australia, I can only put stuff on the http for public to download, and unable to create ftp account.
4. In Australia, I am using "Teltras Unlimited plan" But only 10GB quota, for upload PLUS download traffic, each month, if i eccess that amount, the connection speed will go down to 64kbitps until next month. SO I am going to upload those keynotes which do not appear on those web site.

Yeah all just about all the links dont work. I found the one where they intorduced the redesigned iBook G3s thats it.
If you want to see somemore recent Keynotes just got to apple.com and change the end of the URL to a different year or MWSF I think they go back to 2003.

I stumbled across this site if anyone's interested. I haven't tried downloading anything yet, so don't hurt me if they're all dead links .

Well on that site with all the amazing Keynotes..........I had no problem downloading any.......WWDC 2003,2004 Paris 2003,2004.....70-130Kb/s

Amazing site.... :D

Ok. I have a huge favor to ask. My computer crashed and I lost 4 years of everything. One thing that I even had was the complete video of Steve's 1997 Macworld (at least i believe it was there) "keynote" when he was announcing for I believe the first time the new board of directors, the partnership with msft, and saying Apple was strong. I remember some of the details of the presentation. One was he saved himself for last when naming the new board. He showed a movie. When the crowd booed that IE was going to be the default browser, he followed up with "Since we believe in choice...", then they all cheered. They booed when Gates came up on the screen. Steve also said "Some people have this notion that for Apple to win, Microsoft must loose, and that's not right. We need all the help we can get, and if we do something wrong, it's our own fault, not somebody elses." I hope I provided enough info. It was really good, and I'm kicking myself. Thanks in advance. If I find it before anyone else, I'll be willing to share it, but someone else will have to provide the space. - Steve

Edit: I found a torrent, but it says that it is going to take 11 hrs. There is no way I can do that, but the link to the site that has it is http://thepiratebay.org/details.php?id=3348964

Ok. I answered my own question. I was able to get a copy of the keynote in a couple of hours. For anyone that would like it, it is 133MB, but someone will have to supply the space.

Hey guys,

I just checked, www.applekeynotes.com is available for purchase. If we ever did want to start an official site to get every keynote from it would be pretty cool.

Think, an entire archive of apple's history via keynotes. Anyway, if someone does end up getting a ton of space and bandwidth, I would be happy to buy the domain and point it.

I know.. such a generous offer of me, a whole $9 compared to gigs and gigs of bandwidth, but hey, figured I would throw it out there.

Sorry for the double post, but I finally found the MWSF 2002 Keynote. Only problem is that it's in streaming .ram format. It's better than nothing, though. Here's the link, in case anyone else wants to see it. MWSF 2002 Keynote

Still, if anyone has this in QT Movie format, I'd love to have it. Thanks.

A relatively recent keynote that I'd love to see is MWSF 2003. It had some great products not least the 12 and 17in Powerbooks and should be of good visual quality. Has anybody seen it?

I would love to see the MWSF03 keynote also. I really wish Apple wouldn't delete these from their servers.
