So far so good, given that its my first days with the device and i'm touching it way more than i will in a few months... I've done an hour of exercise and played the odd game each day...finishing up with 20% by bed time 7.30am - 11.00pm. More than enough scope to stay out until 2am I think before we reach critical levels. Well done Apple

42mm I use it pretty heavily from about 6 am til about 11/12 at night and am usually between 30-40%. I would find it hard to drain the whole thing in a single day's usage unless I really made a concerted effort. On the flip side, if could probably string it out with power reserve used intermittently to go for 2 consecutive days

44mm Space Grey Sport.

Took off charge at 7AM, Currently 10PM, battery is at 51%. Medium use (Browsing news on train, changing songs, showing off to people, notifications, text reply etc). AWESOME! I don't know why I was worrying about battery life at all.

Down to 49% remaining after 8.5 hours off the charger. Again, hardly used it apart from a 13-minute "outdoor cycle" at the beginning of the day. Definitely calling Apple. What constitutes "usage" in the Settings App? Because it claims I've used it 2 Hours and 7 Minutes today; there's no way I've been actively using my watch for over 2 hours today.

Fitness tracking? Location updates? Accidental screen activation?

I did 27 minutes of "Outdoor Cycle" today, and that was it for fitness tracking. I have weather on the watch face but that's it for location updates (I don't even have any 3rd part apps installed). I moved the watch to my left hand (I'm left-handed but mouse with my right) to eliminate what seemed like excessive accidental screen activations two days ago. I'm now at 19% after only 12 hours.

I use it 2pm with 80% when it arrived installing apps and plays around and learning went to reserved ode 11pm. Too bad I think. :(

I just received mine today but I barely used any battery at all and I was using it pretty heavily. I am impressed so far but I guess I should give it a few days before I fully judge it.

Very different sort of day to when I last posted, but the Watch battery is still holding up well:

Model: 38mm Sport Silver
Day length: 20 hours
Watch battery remaining: 16%
iPhone 6+ battery remaining: 85%

Watch went on at 1030 yesterday morning, and I just removed it at 0600. Did mild activity today: an hour's walk, and a 30min indoor cycle, but was sitting around at my desk most of the rest of the time. The phone got minimal usage as a result, so the battery hasn't run down nearly as much the day I was out and about.

Considering how well it's held up, though, the Watch doesn't seem to be draining it much at all. I'm guessing that the always-on Bluetooth drain is offset by the reduction in usage for notification for my usage, but that's probably not true of everyone.

Still pretty impressed, overall. The only third-party app I've installed is Twitter, though, so that's probably helping me somewhat.

I have the same problem with 42 aluminum SG. Got mine on the 24th and I have only made it through one day without it going into power reserve mode before it's even dark outside. Usage is almost the same as you described. Yesterday after a reboot and repairing I made it through the day with about 30% at 10:00 after starting at 100 at 7:00am. I can live with that but most of the time my usage is crazy high like 4.5 hours and I know barley touched it. I tried an experiment and charged it before bed and let it go all night. In the morning I had over an hour of usage. I don't get it. Grr.

Current usage stats:
Usage: 4 Hours, 0 Minutes
Standy: 12 Hours, 59 Minutes

Currently at 25%. That doesn't seem right...

Another thing I have noticed about battery life: my iPhone's is much much better as I am using the watch for quick replying and reading notifications.

22 hours! And I still have 2% left! I actually fell asleep with my watch on :)

Now that's insane! Seems like the battery isn't too bad. If you use it for only a few things a day it lasts.

after repair my apple watch to my iphone it seems like the battery is slightly better.. took off charger at 4:45 am.. went for a 45 minute walk and its now 7:23 am and still at 90%. yesterday when i did this i was already down to like 72-74% already.

Love my 42 SS BSB.

Been keeping an eye on battery life. The very first day I got it I did all of my tinkering and playing with it to get it out of my system. Then charged it fully overnight and started observing the battery performance.

After 16 hours of normal use I still have 53% battery life left.

But it wasn't this good in the beginning. It took a few charge and discharge cycles to really open the battery up.

The first full day I used it, after 12 hours the battery was at 42%, the. The next day I saw the battery around 52% after only 13 hours, and today I'm at 53% after 16 full hours.

Not bad at all. More than respectable battery life if you ask me.

And before anyone asks, this what I did

I replied to 18 text messages with responses from the preset list.

I dictated another 23 messages.

I asked Siri to set 3 events.

Checked the time around 15 times.

Checked the weather twice

Rear 7 emails

Dictated 2 long and 4 short emails.

Asked Siri to launch 4 apps

Used the remote app for about 5 minutes to control my Apple TV.

And showed 3 coworkers how the watch works and what it can do.

38 SS ML

I had voted 30% but as of late it's more like 50-60% at the end of the day. So that's fantastic.

42MM SS

Today is the second day I've had it. I charged it up to 100% when it came out of the box yesterday, it was 100% by 1:30pm. I wore it all day, admittedly I used it a lot. When I went to sleep at 10:30pm it was at 38%. Has me a little nervous I guess - seeing as how on a normal day 100% will be starting from 7AM. So that's 9 hours = 60%. Normal day would be about 16 hours. Thats about 6.6% per hour. Cutting it close! I'll see where I am tonight, as I took it off the charger at 7.

A question - someone mentioned somewhere that the animated watch faces use more battery. Is this true - I have been using the Jellyfish watch face so wondering if switching would help?

My first 2 days with it hasn't been something to write home about.

When I got it on Wednesday, it was about 70% out of the box. End of the night after playing with it, it was about 10%. Charged overnight

Yesterday, full day, nothing too crazy, was about 5% when I went to bed at 9:30pm.

I decided to turn off 'hey siri' on wrist raise. Might notice a difference there. Id prefer it to be what some of you are saying, 40% end of the day etc. But I am wondering like some are saying, a few discharges before it really started to go.
