hope to get mine to be around 40-50% end of the day eventually.. only have had the watch since monday night.

62% battery left so far.. off the charger since 4:45 am.. have done 2 45 minute work outs, received text messages and played around with some of the watch faces.

Ah the workout might do that because of the constant usage of the heart rate monitor. I read a battery saving trick during workouts is to disable the heart rate monitor. Although that defeats the purpose to some extent. Keep us updated on how you make out over a day with no workout.

I also took the heart rate monitor off "Glances". Maybe that'll help too. Not sure. I read that you should also "kill" the Watch app on the iPhone, when you're done with it. Testing out different things.

Usually put my watch on charge at bedtime, end up waking up approx 1am, at which time the watch is fully charged, then I take it off charge and put it on then go back to sleep.

Took it off charge approx 1am yesterday (Thursday)morning, wore it all day, wore it through the night, wore it all day today, it is now 19:26 Friday evening (UK time) and my watch is at 38%

EXCELLENT battery life, couldn't be happier.

42mm stainless steel.

Thursday is my cheat day so I didn't run at all, and my workout time is in the evenings so I am expecting a long run later tonight. However i have it synced with my work and personal emails so I get approx 100 notifications a day just from email alone. Have taken a few short phone calls yesterday and today, and sent and received several texts each day (no animations).

probably will get better battery life on the weekends for me.. dont wake up as early.. around 8:00 am instead of 4:00 am so it will be on the charger longer and only will have time to do 2 workouts throughout the day so less drain on the battery.

So that is my first full day with my :apple: watch. Took it off it's first full charge last night about 10 pm and 24 hours later I still have 41% battery left. Should be plenty to get me through the night and I can charge it at work or it may even last until I get home from work tomorrow. Pretty impressive I think.

Just got 30 hours of a single charge on my 42mm.
Light usage, few notifications every couple of hours, and some directions.
Very happy with that, was able to go out all day yesterday, and continue to use the watch well past midday the following day.
Didn't enable power reserve at all either.

well, if you basically use a smart watch to just tell the time and nothing else, it's going to last

may I suggest just buying a regular watch? I hear the battery last for years

Did you even read his post? He said he used it for light notifications and directions. So perhaps more reading is needed before posting "clever" responses.

42mm SS watch.

13 hours wearing it. A lot of notifications and emails. 30min workout. 59% left.

It's 9:15pm right now and I have 37% left. I took it off the charger at 7:00am. That is a lot better than I did the first five days. I had not made it past 7:00pm without going into power reserve. The only thing I did different was this... Last night I charged it before I went to sleep ( after it crapped out at 7) and when I looked at the battery glance it was at 100% and the words switched from "charging" to "charged". Ok it's done right? No, immediately I put power reserve mode on for a minute, just to try it out because I hadn't yet. When the watch turned back on I put it back on the charger. It said 100% and "charging" so I left it on. It continued to charge for 20 more minutes before saying "charged". Today I have much better battery life. Maybe it wasn't getting fully charged all those other days even though it said it was. Give it a try if you're having problems. It might be something or it could be a fluke. I know that 20 minutes gives it a big boost though if I just put it on the charger in the middle of the day.

Had 36% left after 16 and a quarter hours use (taken off charge at 6:15am, finished the day and put it back on charge at 10:30pm yesterday).

Had quite an active normal/working day (rather than a go out and be active all day with sports).

Did an hour's exercise early in the morning, poked and prodded it lots in the day, was adding and testing apps frequently, dealing with mails and messages as they came in, went out with friends on the evening and was showing them how it worked, etc...

Very impressed with the battery life so far. :)

Charge times are a bit of a mystery to me.

The last 10% seems to take forever, even with an iPad charger (it's the plug next to my desk, it's easier to switch out the cable than have two adapters taking up socket space).

I know this is the case with phones etc, but with the Apple Watch it just seems reluctant to make it to 100%.

UPS dropped it off around 5PM Thursday. I put it to charge and finally got back to it around 8PM. I've had it on since then, trying to familiarize myself with all the apps and settings. I've had quite a bit of use since then, i.e. phone calls, checking notifications and health tracking.

It's now Saturday morning and at around 8AM it was at 10%. That's a timespan of 36 hours. I'll have a better idea after more usage.

I'm not sure how it affects battery life, but the heart rate monitor is taking a reading about every 10 minutes.

Left the house with 100% juice. 45 minute later after a 4 mile jog without my phone, I'm down to 70%. I was streaming music the whole time and set the workout app to outdoor run. Gotta make sure to charge after each workout cause this thing gulps battery for outdoor activities.

I waited until I had a week with it to see how it would do in ordinary day-to-day use. It varies, but at no time have I had more than 25% left. Most days I am at close to zero by 5:00. The things that seems to drain it most is when I have longer workouts (like ~1.5 hours).

I do get a lot of notifications for emails, calendar events and reminders (which I glance at but do not usually respond to on the watch).

I'd like more battery life, but it does charge quickly. In spite of battery life, I think my usage proves how much I like it and how quickly it is becoming integrated into my life.

Ok, third day in was better. I turned off all the stupid notifications I would get from FB and G+ (can't reply them anyway), and I turned on the energy saving feature in Workouts. I was on the move all day, used the watch constantly to find my way around the city, and sports scores. Put the watch on at 6:45 AM with 100%, took it off at 22:30 PM with 25% left. Huzzah! That's much better.

If you don't care a lot about the correct calories burned during the workout, you can turn the constant heart rate monitor off during workouts. That saves A LOT of juice. You still get your heart rate monitored, but not every 30 seconds.

Obviously milage varies greatly by usage rate, but mine from 6AM-midnight with 18% left. Moderate usage, frequent notifications, etc. Very impressed.

Working out with it on, however, kills it quickly.
