looks almost plastic cheap. Glad I am getting the Pro Max now

From my past have a bunch of Xperia, glossy colorful phone tend to like cheap plastic, but when holding in person, it's still glass, solid feel (mine is red)

Later, newer version (Z5 compact) it use frosted glass, less shiny, more subtle, gave similar appearance like iPhone Pro.
(mine is red again)

Glad they included the the NY video. That was great - shows what you can do with the phone.

I haven’t ordered yet, but I’m losing interest in the Pacific Blue color, might go silver or gold.

Glad all of you dislike the green color so much! More of a chance I’ll get the mini in green on launch day even if I wait until my usual wake up time to order instead of getting up at 5am pacific 😂

Very glad I got the black 12. These damn bezels though lol. Still huge compared to 98% of other smartphones out there.

So happy I ordered pacific blue! It looks so good in real life.

What I can’t understand is why they didn’t make the mag safe ring in the clear case the same color as the phones. That way it would have blended in and not looked god awful like it does now. I think Steve Jobs might be rolling over in his grave with these bad design decisions.

Yeah looks spot better in videos

I'm waiting for the mini preorder so I hopefully have some opportunity to see the colors in person.
I was dead set on a blue mini... hate how it looks in half of the videos. Not I'm torn between the off white and (product peach).

Is it just me who doesn't like the stainless steel option? Aluminum seems like a better choice, specially when considering that glossy finish.
Also, I'd love to see an (actual) silver iPhone with the back of the Pro and aluminum sides :)

very shocked there was not a product red pro - given they have incorporated blue and red into the lineup of apple watches, I figured they would do the same with the phones.

Well, I'm seriously disappointed with MagSafe. It sounded great, but really it's a hockey puck mouse.

A drop-in Qi charger will be better (and SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper) than something that sticks to your phone.

Also, MagSafe's weak connection is anything but safe. It doesn't hold .

You'll be losing your wallet, or at best pulling it out of your pants after you pull your phone out of your pocket... I mean, what the hell is this for?

I'm open to someone giving me a scenario where MagSafe is worth having, but as it stands, it's useless.

I honestly prefer the iPhone 4 look.

Something about them seems more elegant than these new versions.

Although the images of the gold and Graphite Pros are pretty nice.

I think it stands out more because it definitely has a different shape. My cases came in today and holding the case is a significantly different experience that my xs case.

In the description in that New York vid Andy writes that he filmed entirely in HDR and edited in Final Cut Pro. I thought a newer (future) version was required to support it. Or did he just treat it like HLG? Did I miss an update?

Every time I see the iPhone 12 in blue, I realize how much more I prefer the Pro's blue.

The 12's is dark but over-saturated and always looks like plastic somehow.

EDIT: Ha, love how the first three comments are about the color blue.
totally agree...then the 12 looks like a fingerprint magnet and the 12 pro does not...

The video of New York shot in 4K is really great to watch. Super stoked for the cameras on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Finally low light picture taking!

Finally? They have been preaching low light snaps for the past few iPhone releases. I assume this one is REALLY, REALLY, REALLY the one though based on great marketing.

I love my Product Red iPhone 11, but something seems off with the iPhone 12 in Product Red. Will have to see it in person before I decide. I'm conflicted, I always wanted to sell my iPhone 11 and get the 12 because I always preferred the flat edges of the iPhone 4/S... but my 11 has grown on me, so I might wait.

I initially thought the MagSafe wallet add-on was a great idea and was going to order one when I ordered my 12 Pro Max, but not after seeing how easily it can be knocked off the phone. It will only be usable when hand carrying your phone, which is such a temporary use case.

I’ll certainly order a MagSafe case for it, but that may be it for a while.

I’m not even sure I’ll order a MagSafe charging puck at this point, because I don’t see the need for it. I charge at night when I don’t need faster charging, and even during heavy use days, I’m never needing a quick charge to get through the day. Maybe when I’m back on the road again, there will be a charger pack that can be clicked on and off easily, that will be worth investing in.
