10 month old Nike 44 cellular here. Maybe it is still too early but after updating to Watch OS7 my battery has improved significantly. It just feels like unreal. in OAD I could go 24 hours the most and not more than 48 hours with AOD off. After yesterday's full charge it went 18 hours and still had 60% left with AOD. Second charge now and sitting at 98% after 2 hours. Very impressive if it stays this way. I have read in one of the reviews from today that S6 has 20% improved battery life. Supposedly Apple told this to the reviewer.

I think it will improve. I've been running the beta for a few months and battery life is always hit and miss the first few days. A restart always helps too. Hope it improves for you!

After 6-7 hours I am sitting at 68% battery. This is typically what I ended the day with after 12+ hours on Watch OS 6. This battery drain is making me worry.

Anyone else having serious issues with battery life?
I'm having the same experience as you; in fact I came here to see if anyone else was having the same problem. I am considering resetting it to see what happens.

I am seeing something similar. After 10.5 hours of use so far today (5am-3:30pm), I hit 10%. Normally by 10pm (17-18 hours), I still have 30-40%.

That is a huge difference and the only change was Watch OS 7 on a Series 5.

I came her to ask if anyone else was seeing it, and lo and behold, this was at the top.

edit:
1. I was reading that in the betas, people were suggesting that you turn off the hand washing feature to improve battery life. The consensus then was that it helped some people, but not others. Of course, my hand washing wasn't even on - so that wasn't it for me.

2. I am going to try the press and hold down both the digital crown and the side button at the same time until it reboots and charge it for 30 minutes and go from there.

3. I do NOT want to do the unpair or set up as new if possible.

Same, quite bad for me - at 47% right now, 2:31pm central time, usually that's where I'm at around 6-7pm.

Awful battery life here as well. Went to go for a run and the battery was at 22% yikes. Just turned it off and plan on charging it to 50%. It's usually at around 75-80% now.

Mine went to power reserve after 10 hours today.

Not good.
Series 4 SS

*edit*
I’m going to give it a day or two and see if it “re programs itself.”

after 11hrs, including a 2hr Mt bike ride tracked via outdoor cycling app, mine says 61%. That is very close if not better than what I've seen in watchos6 ... S4

I bought my S5 last Friday and the battery sucked since day one. For exemple, it is exactly 39% right now. It was 100% 9:30 HOURS AGO. I used it normally, didn't even track exercises... Terrible!
But I must say, this is not watchOS 7. It's like that since my full 4 days on watchOS 6.

So I came here to this forums to see what people thought about S5`s battery. It seems like the first month or weeks battery is always bad. But after this period it can actually go up to 18h of usage as apple claimed.
Maybe that's what's happening right now with all of you who updated, I don't know.

I hope my battery life improves, cause getting only 11 hours on a device who promises to go up to 18 is really frustating.

if anybody has any tips for me I would really appreciate it.

I almost called apple support, but since more than 3 people had the same experience on this forums(of having a bad battery for a while after buying it, and then it progressively improved) I decided to wait for a bit.

On WatchOS 7 the battery settings says y battery is on 100%. So I guess is not a hardware problem...

I updated my Series 4 (sans cellular) watch last night. Got up at 0600, put on watch at 0620, battery at 100%. By 1100, watch was at 10%. Charged watch, put back on at around 1300 at 100% battery. When I started writing this post (at about 1750) it was at 10% again. In the time it has taken me to type this, it has dropped to 6%.

In previous days I would make it to 20% on average from waking up around 0600 to bedtime at 2100.

I haven’t done anything today apart from go to the dentist and back, and sit at my desk at home working. I don’t recall a similar issue moving from watchOS 5 to 6 last year.

My battery life is not good. 15% at 7pm. And I didn‘t use it any differently today than other days. Hopefully it’s just a glitch.

I updated to the GM of iOS and watchOS on Tuesday night. Wednesday I charged my watch mid day because it was draining fast but day 2 (today) it’s been excellent. Better than watchOS 6. I’d usually be around 60% by now and I’m at 74% currently.
