As a new Apple Watch owner, I wish the Apple Watch had fewer people wishing for it to fail, but I'll still love mine for as long as I can resist upgrading to the next generation. I'm fond of the memories of my first generation iPhone, showing it off when appropriate, learning what it could do. I am sure I'll look back on these first days with the watch the same way.

Being able to put more complications on every watch face. Right now I only use the modular because the rest dont allow enough complications.

More Sports Band Colors

Better Haptic. I miss the taps a lot when I am working out. Even with Prominent Haptic

I'm pretty happy with it. Most of the annoying crap is just a software tweak

A implementation of Siri that works as well as Amazon Echo

Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it.

Stronger haptic. I want to be able to dial it down, not be forced as I currently am to run it at full strength in addition to having prominent haptic on all the time. Even then I still sometimes miss a notification when I'm working in the yard.

I want water resistance to 50m so it can register the exercise I do in the pool.

Purple and red and navy blue and teal and true pink sport band colors. I mean for all of those to be separate band colors...not all of those colors on one band!

A cellular option. I'm not sure I want or need that, though. I'm just throwing it out there. It's been at the back of my thoughts ever since I accidentally left home without my cell phone.

In lieu of that, an audible and haptic alarm letting me know I'm out of the range of my phone would be helpful preventing future goofs like that.

A way to send texts completely hands-free.

Poop emojis and cat and dog emojis with adjustable faces like the smiley face has. Don't ask. Suffice it to say I'm a mother to a 10 year old who has finally inherited my old IPhone 5 and let's leave it at that.

I've only had mine since Thursday so my list is limited.

Orange sport band.
As someone mentioned already...FB messaging on par with IMessage. This is likely a FB issue and less an Apple issue.

Other than that....LOVE IT!!!

Steve

I was going to start a thread about this, but I will just post it here. I have loved my watch since day one. I have the SS leather loop, and bought the link bracelet and sport band. I really don't see what needs to be added but native apps which is coming.

I keep hearing people say they want custom watchface, and open up the API so developers can make them. Why I love the chronograph watchface, and really don't need anything more. I knew what I was getting when I got the watch, and could not ask for too much more.

Yeah I would like to have another complication or just remove it if you want to.

The whole health, workout, and activity app set is immature and incomplete. I hope Apple solves for this soon. (I know that they have hinted at some progress with wOS2, but that is not here yet.) These are things that every other fitness tracker I have used does.
  • Cannot manually enter a workout in the activity app. That means no credit for swims or any other workout you did where you left the watch behind.
  • No place to record food intake to manage wellness holistically.
  • Workout is useless for any kind of performance improvement (you cannot see split data or individual data points within a workout.)
  • No way for other apps to feed data into activity/workout/health. (Promise in wOS2, but delivery could be 6-9 months.)
  • No way to share data with other aggregator apps, like Stava or Training Peaks.

I either want Utility to give me a second complication at the bottom in place of the large one or give me the ability to add the day of the week to Simple. I'm really trying to pretend this is an analog watch but so far the best face for info has been Modular. So, I stick with that most of the time.

Music controls in the workout app. So much wasted space and difficult to change songs.

So a lot of requests are surely achievable by software I'm reading, over hardware. This makes my potential purchase easier as I hope that with OS2 and better apps it will fill in the holes.

Yes. I have very few complaints (none really) about the hardware at this time. My wish list only includes software changes. If I were to make any changes today in hardware it would be to address somehow sweat and the digital crown. After a few workouts and sweating the crown will become stiff. Hot/warm water while turning the crown for a few seconds fixes the issue. Not sure what could be done about it but its about the only hardware item I would do something about today.

Is this a common issue? So you literally get the crown wet to fix it? Isn't this risky? I thought the watch was only splash proof?

I hope they allow you to open apps by tapping on the notification. If I receive several messages, it would be nice to just be able to open the messages app without having to leave notifications/pressing the crown/opening the app/finding the message

My 2 cents:
better battery life.

It's fine right now but it seems huge potential improvements are not possible due to it:
GPS (dont need myself), All day HR monitor (I'd love this eventually), more intensive native Apps later on

Delete default Apps
I use like 3-5 of them. I dont need the ones I would never use on my screen. Half the time I misclick on them.
Some 'personalized' device right there

Improved switching between home & the App menu (or other menus in general)
At minimum going from app menu and the clock should be some type of swipe

Watch face Customization (Alot More)
The ones like Solar or plants onces are useless since you cannot add extra info.
The tradition clock ones are nice but should have an option to add the actual time on them

Side note:
Waiting on that Facebook messenger app (come on facebook spend the $$ o_O)
I use this more than messages to communicate with people.
