I was successful in running diagnostics with an advisor over chat and my phone turned up no issues. I’m seeing if I use the an Apple charger instead of my Anker yo charge the watch at night I don’t have this issue again... yet.

One of the questions the 'Genius' had in his script was confirmation that I only use the Apple Charger that came with my Series 3 - which I do. He went on to mention as an aside that they even don't want you to use Apple Series 1 or 2 chargers either. Tough crowd!

Just noticed yesterday same problem. It has ALWAYS charged to 100% but now won't go past 95%. Seems to have started in the last week or so but not sure since I rarely checked the %. I am on latest update and problem is on both the ANKER charger or the included Apple charger. I also notice it gets quite warm using the ANKER charger which it never did before this issue began.

My watch has also been charging to 100% since I applied the latest update late last week.

Count me in AW3 LTE charges up to about 92-95% rebooted it once and it charged to 100% once but now when I woke up this am it was at 92%. I'm on 4.2.3 the latest.

I have been running a test since the 23rd by not charging the watch and letting it just sit overnight to see what it does.
I am losing anywhere from 9% to as much as 17% with the watch just sitting there doing nothing, overnight. What is strange is that the usage goes up as well, which is really weird. I no not have background app refresh and only have two extra apps on it. Pedometer Plus and Lexus Enform which obviously I am not using while I'm sleeping LOL. Very Strange.

Got mine back from repair with a reflashed OS and a new battery to boot. Unsure if it's 'fixed' though - guess time will tell.

Thanks for getting back to us and yes please. Do let us know if that solved the issue.

I'm on the same boat AW S3 with Lte. I never had this problem before, just happened when I updated the latest OS.
I'll wait and see if the next update fix the issue. Stop charging at 92, 93 and 95%.

The software update worked...for a week. I'm going to the Apple Store next week to get the watch examined. Sounds like it'll be sent out for repair.

I was going to wait two weeks on mine before declaring any sort of 'victory'. So far, day #0 it charged to 100%...

I have a S3 LTE I received on launch day. I put mine on the charger nightly (Apple charging dock from Apple.)when I go to bed, sometimes it’s 70% and others it’s as low as 5% depending on useage. Sometimes I will wear it for 2 days mainly if I want to track my sleep which is when the battery will be quite low. The past couple of days it’s been going to 93%, which seems to be a common percentage which seems odd to me. I simply did a power cycle and not a reset this morning and put it back on the charger from 6:30 am to approximately 7:30 and it went up to 100%. I’m updated to all of the latest software on my iPhone X and watch. Seems like a software/power management issue to me. Hopefully it gets resolved with an update. It’s widely known that batteries degrade over time however having a series 0, 2 and now 3 + LTE, this is the first one that’s had this issue.

It’s been a couple days shy of two weeks since I did the latest update, and haven’t had this issue happen since. It’s been charging up to 100% every night.

I've also managed a week on mine since it came back from Apple.

Ok so I recently bought a S3 (GPS) Nike edition last week and been doing fine ever since. However I charged it to 100% last night and then turned it off, but this morning when I turned it back on it was at 99%? Not a big deal, it's only 1% right....but ever since it's been draining like crazy and I have not gotten any calls or text at all. I did delete the Nike run club app to see if that maybe the issue but no luck. Now I previously had a Series 1 and never had this issue? Both my iPhone and watch are running the latest software. Also my iPhone shows a different battery percentage for my watch than my watch? I have unpaired and paired and that did not seem to help at all. I will charge to 100% again tonight and turn off and then turn on tomorrow morning and see what happens.

Unsure if the issues are related. You may be better off starting a new thread about this.

I actually contacted Apple support on this and they ran a diagnostic on my AW and said they saw no issues with the battery. They suggested I take it back to Best Buy and exchange for a new one since I am about five hours away from an Apple Store. I will do my usual routine tonight of charging to 100%, turning off, and turning back on in the morning and see what happens. If it happens again though I am definitely going to take back to BB and exchange since I am still inside my exchange window.

I just had to go and say something and jinx myself yesterday. Woke up this morning and it was only at 94%. It’s gotta be some sort of software bug.
