One of the questions the 'Genius' had in his script was confirmation that I only use the Apple Charger that came with my Series 3 - which I do. He went on to mention as an aside that they even don't want you to use Apple Series 1 or 2 chargers either. Tough crowd!
I suppose it’s about minimizing variables, but older AW chargers should be forward compatible with newer models.

Series 3 does apparently support more charging profiles / standards as it has been found to work with some Qi chargers. But it’s not like the existing default charger support had been thrown away.

Same problem here starts happening this week. I'm on latest watchOS 4.2.3. Its very annoing. I have 92-93% percent. It was 3rd day today that happening to me.
I don't want to do any factory reset or something. I hope this will be resolved!

8 days since repair and all's still good for me. That said, I'm still waiting a good 2-3 weeks beforere declaring victory.

Oddly enough mine just started doing this within the past couple of days. Restart didn’t fix it, nor a reset.

For what it’s worth, mine just returned from Apple about a week and a half ago. I had sent it in to have the latest beta removed and have the current shipping version installed.

I would not have noticed if not for this thread as my battery never gets low enough that I pay attention to it.

I guess I’ll contact Apple and see what they say.

I spoke with Apple today and they ran diagnostics as well. I problems found. They are supposedly going to get the engineering team to grab some files from my watch. No idea. I’d be curious to know if this pops up in the latest beta as well.

After I have accidentaly discharge my Watch then it will charge to 100%. This still for 2 days, but today morning 93% again :). I don't know what to do. It seems to be wider problem.

I powered mine down yesterday at 93%, turned it back on and it finally charged to 100%. When I spoke to Apple, they said maybe my charger was defective.... yeah..no.

Mine is stuck too but what bothers me even more it that is shows the usage as much more than I KNOW I used!

I have the same issue. If I restart it it will charge back up to 100% but after a few days it will be back to not charging above 92-94%. I have an appointment on Friday to have it looked at.

My AW3 was charging to 100% after the last firmware update. That “fix” lasted a couple of weeks. It is now stuck charging to a max of 93% again.

My launch 42mm AW3 just started having this issue. Charges to 93%. A restart fixed it for a day, but it’s back to 93% again today. And warm off the charger each time, too. What’s going on here?

And a week later it’s doing it again. I knew immediately something was wrong this morning when I took the Watch off the charger and the back of the Watch was warm. Only charged to 93%. A reboot of the Watch and it charged to 100%.

They said my only option was to set it up as a new watch or send it to Apple for a 3-5 day turn around. I took it home but haven’t reset it yet. Been charging fine for over a week now. They said if it happens again they noted my account and don’t restart the watch just bring it in cause when you restart it it resets the charging stats.

Series 3 and this is still happening, gets stuck between 92% to 95% even if its on charge for over 24hrs.

A reboot immediately fixes it and charges to 100%. Quite a few of us having the same issues this has to be a really annoying software bug that needs fixing ASAP.

After 4.3 update I woke up and my AW3 was only charged to 94%. Rebooted it and it appears to be climbing, currently at 98%.

Using Apple charger plugged into USB charging station but I can see voltage, amperage and watts via a USB tester. The charging station has more than sufficient power for the AW if it demanded it.

Gah. Was hoping watchOS 4.3 fixed it. :(
