I dunno.... a single photo can be misleading, since it just captures one very brief moment. Maybe I am reading too much into it. The photo shown in the top of this article just looked a bit "over the top" to me with Cook's level of joy at seeing this?

I'm just saying, if it was my company and someone brought me one of our older products that I was aware were still out there in circulation by the thousands and we LONG since stopped offering to service, even at the customer's expense? I don't know how excited I'd be, really? I'd be happier to hear the person's stories of how long they'd used my company's products, I'm sure. This just looked like a reaction I'd expect to see more for a really, really rare product surfacing.

I get it. Some people go through life being perpetually cynical of mice-nuts stuff you come across every day, always on the lookout for ulterior motives of others. That's OK and one's right.

I choose not to, believing most people are good, have a right to be happy, and should be able to freely express that.

If I were in Cook's shoes I'd react the same way, shake the man's hand, and welcome him inside and have a chat, seeing that he probably purchased his Mac 30+ years ago when he was in his 20's to 30's. and has a few stories to tell about it. I understand Cook signed the customer's Mac once inside. I'm happy Cook was able to add a little joy to that man's day as his Mac clearly meant a lot to him going way back to the 1980s.

Fortunately there are people willing to brighten others' day a little. Hat-tip to Mr. Cook for being one of them.

Not sure about that. Can you please provide the first weeks sales? Apple needs to have a presence in India, regardless of how little they sell.

The article states an increase of sales over the past year to be 50% from $4B-$6B. If you dont expect a further increase, there is nothing that can be said that will convince you that sales will increase further.

Tell me why you believe Apple needs an Apple Store if they make a loss by having one.

I guess if people get a thrill out of hating on Apple, they'll do it on an Apple Based forum.

Sometimes I think Tim Cook is a divisive figurehead.

I doubt Timmy actually even remembers what that model is out of the top of his head.

I mean, all that is in Timmy's mind are profits, so he probably already lost track of these nostalgic meaningful products.
OH MY GOSH WILL YOU PEOPLE STOP TALKING! Stop reading into things you don’t know. NEWS FLASH: the purpose of a business is to make a profit by delivering a product to satisfy a customer. Welcome to capitalism.

For all those people on a previous thread who hated on Apple saying people in India couldn't afford and wouldn’t buy Apple products. You were wrong it seems.
In India, iPhone 14 (standard, 128GB mode, not Pro) is 72.000 rupee which equates to some $875.

A MacBook Air M1 (base config) goes for around $1200 usd.

Average yearly income in India for 2021-2022 was about $1670.

I'm going to assume this post was a joke because people in India definitely can't afford Apple products.

Many people tend to forget about the income disparity.

There are millions of people in India who can afford Apple products.

Also the avg income numbers do not reflect the true earning in a country like India where there is not much in accounted money.

Companies who understand this are able to capture the market share.

Wonder what the Shareholders will have to say about Tim starting a Side-Career with "Reaction"-Videos now.
