excellent, so now apple can keep replenishing and shipping CHEAP SPORT AWS that were ordered YESTERDAY while those of us that stayed up until late the 10th can keep on waiting like idiots for a product NOBODY has seen in public yet... sweet..

I'm going to get apple on the phone and request they re-open the bumper program from the iPhone 4 so we can all get something out of this. All of us SS Link people deserve better! Seriously tho, I understand the frustration, I'm just happy I haven't seen one in the wild yet.

If your card has actually been charged, that's huge - it means that you'll be transitioning to "preparing to ship" very soon!

Me, I'll be waiting for quite some time (now kicking myself for not ordering 4/10) - just ordered my 42mm SB SS LB today. :) (eta - July)
I really didn't want to spend that much, but I have an 8" wrist. Not crazy about the sport band and the leather classic buckle was on the second last hole - looked bad.

Hopefully the v2 watch features aren't enviable enough to cause me to want to switch anytime soon! :)

I was hoping for that all weekend! Still no movement since the charge last week :(

has anyone specifically asked an apple employee what the reason for the immediate 4-6 week delay was? at this point i am just curious. were there production issues? did they not begin production until orders were received? i know they don't owe me any answers but i'm just curious.

Elaborate, please.

What else is there to say? I saw a guy with a 42mm SS Apple Watch with Link band. I talked to him briefly about it. He said he got it Friday and really liked it. As I mentioned before, I didn't ask where he bought it as I completely forgot about boutique stores. With that said, I don't have any boutique stores anywhere near me so I think my assumption that he ordered online was pretty safe. I am in the United States.

There aren't that many people that have posted about ordering an Apple Watch with link band. Even if only 5% of Apple Watches ordered were in one of the four configurations with the link band, that would be put orders of it in the hundreds of thousands.

Just placed an order for a 42mm link band (already have my stainless watch with black classic buckle).

Shipping time says "May".

We'll see what happens.

Most all Apple employees that we are able to have any immediate contact with do not have this kind of information. We'll just have to wait and see if there's some sort of press release from one of the bigwigs or a production manager that's higher up the food chain.

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll mention something in the earnings call? (in a couple of hours)

Fingers crossed!

I just need a little bit of information since I'm fine with waiting if they ran into a snag or two that's justifiable. I'm just glad I'll be one of the first lucky few to have the Link Bracelet version!

My order of Link and Leather Loop Bands is supposed to be here starting 4/29 but still no dates on my order. Loosing hope I'll get them in two days.

Did you order the link seperately?

Did you order the link seperately.

I did not, regretting that now since I was planning on getting a black sport band anyway, so I'm hoping that those of us who got the bundled face and band will be at the front of the line for any available link bands.

Well seperate link orders have earlier ship dates than any Apple Watch's with Link Bracelet.

Thanks.

Was asking because "in the wild" could have just meant at the Apple store.

True, but we've also seen how arbitrary ship dates have been this launch.

If they're running short on SS watch faces, then it would make sense for them to ship bands first. I have a feeling though that it more has to do with a shortage of our specific band and in that case I would sincerely hope that those of us waiting for the whole package would be first in line for them.
