Always use the app for a launch product

Couldn't get the app to work, hindsight shows it was my error.

I had all of my data entered and my CC, but I was using a VISA which I never use. In all of my haste, I selected Master Card again and again... Couldn't figure out what was going wrong!

Only when I entered my VISA on the apple store site online AGAIN did I notice :)

It's weird only if you're expecting it to ship this week. We still have a long way to go until May 13th, the earliest promised date for the first round of link bracelet orders.

You're right, but some other watches that were expected to ship by May 13th or later have already shipped or are on their way out, so why can't we think it'll be like that for us? I keep saying this but I'm positive they have made enough for some to get the watch before the 13th

Perhaps other models (leather bands) are easier to come by so they're moved up. We can always hope, but if they do get moved up they'll be moved up en mass for a specific model.

Clearly the SS 42 with blk sports band is the most popular. Curious of the demographic of this group? I'm 44, white male, business professional in southern Ct. Bet we are all pretty similar....

I'm at 3:04:12 apple confirm email and starting to wonder if all new innovations like this will have me scouring a forum in anticipation of my instant gratification aka apple watch...people actually tracking flight plans in anticipation of delivery. Major societal shift happening, not sure if it's a good thing but probably just part of evolution ...a topic for another thread though.

Ps: most excited for yardage to the pin on my wrist, gonna try hole19.

I thought this thread was for SS Link Bracelets not sport. I ordered a Space Black SS with Space Black Link. 27 white male, stock broker, Las Vegas

For the record, I have an :08 Confirmation (Stainless Steel - 42 mm - Link Bracelet) no EOD, 4-6 weeks, processing, no charges.

I was ready to check-out at :01, but the delivery even at that point quoted 4-6 weeks, so it's safe to guess that Apple knew that they would not have any of these in stock for the official release date. My guess is Supply Chain issues (either manufacturing or shipping delays).

As with everyone else, it would be nice if Apple was a little more transparent. Here is a quote from their Earnings report:

"We delivered more Watch to customers over the weekend than originally anticipated."

I think they have watched the inventory very closely and didn't plan to have a lot of product.

You guys do realize that it is possible to have a preorder in at 12:00 am and the email not be processed by your Exchange server or mail service for a few minutes later while somebody else puts in a preorder at 12:02 am and their email is processed immediately, right? Essentially, the time you received the email means very little so do not put much thought into them.

I would also be willing to bet that your browser of choice has no influence on your order.

No offense to anyone here - it is just a little amusing how we all can search out anecdotal information to try to determine where we are at in line.

I'm definitely at the end of this line#

While there may be some oddities here and there, by and large it's a pretty good measure. It has held true for several major order cycles including iphones.

I originally thought that but if you look at other threads such as the "who order a 42mm..." you can see everyone (posting their email confirmation times to the second) is being processed bursts varying no more than about 15-30 seconds gaps

Demographics

I've wondered about demographics here too. I expect I may be one of the older Apple Watch customers. I'm a 64, white, male, IT manager (technical architect) in St. Louis, MO. Like probably most here, I'm a long-time Apple user.

I ordered a 42mm SS watch with link bracelet on 04/10 at 2:08:37 AM CDT (confirmation email time) . Needless to say, my order is still processing, no charge. But, I'm still excited and anxious. I'm sure I'll be as happy on whatever day my watch arrives as I would have been if it had arrived on launch day.

Hang in there, everyone. Our day is coming.

Demographic

I'm 26 and bought myself a Stainless Steel Link Bracelet. I don't think age has much to do with it.

Have been following this thread closely but thought I'd finally post myself. Seems there aren't too many of us in the forum waiting on this combo.

I am waiting on a 42mm SS W Link Bracelet, email confirmation 12:03:39 PT. 4-6 week like everyone else with no CC charge since after the original purchase. Hope we see movement soon, but not holding my breath. I'm sure there's a specific reason they didn't start the preorders with any available for launch day, but I hope I'm wrong.

24. IT Project Manager. Sydney, Australia.
I went with Black SS Link because I thought it looked very classy and I've never really had a 'good' watch.

I plan on calling it 'Black Lake' - I'm a huge Bjork fan! :p

I agree, I'm 19 and own my technology business. I was looking for something classy as well and debated between the link and the ZenWatch, but obviously ZenWatch doesn't work with iOS so here I am :)

Yet another here. I am 25 y/o, enviro engineer in water quality projects. Married with a daughter. MI, USA.

I wanted that classic, classy watch look and the xxx amount of parts and hand brushed finish sealed it for me. Seems like a very well made combo. Also, coming from materials/specification work background I enjoyed the SS short film very much. Interesting along with the other 2, Al and Au.

Side note I also ordered a black sport band and brown leather loop separately. Neither have moved either.

Edit to add: A couple of people put their race. I'm white.

28 year old mixed race male. Financial Services. 42 mm SS LB. Looks like this model may not have appealed strongly to the female market.

Also orders extra charging cable and a bsb. Got the charging cable on the 23rd. :/ No movement, charges or emails. Oddly while I have the charger in my possession there is still just a pre-authorization hold on my card.

We are really looking for anything to post now when we're breaking it down by career and racial descriptions.

I'm a white instructional designer, 6 credits short of my masters degree, I like pit bulls and scifi, fly helicopters part-time for the military and feel lost as a liberal in the conservative machine, mow my lawn every week except during the winter when I shovel - derr, and watch way too much american football.

I'm looking for someone about 42mm in general dimensions, classy but not obnoxious, not thin-skinned (preferably akin to stainless) shiny but not too dark, and flexible, almost link-like.

If you're interested, please see my apple order page and get it the f*&k moving!

I literally laughed out loud. I wish I was this creative.
