Ok, I was ok waiting, for a while. I've been googling info on the watch and watching for news on it. I think by doing this I've shot myself in the 'wrist'.
I have left the calm but anxious mode and gone into longing.
I want my watch!
I've gone into the ordered a space gray sport and secretly hoping it ships before the space black link bracelet so I can cancel the order for the more expensive one to stick it to the man mode. #
That's why I'm confident the link watch orders will start shipping this coming week. No chance Apple will fulfill stand alone band orders first. I bet the stand alone band orders on many models will slip past their delivery dates.
Not sure what you mean. The initial batch of link bracelet Watches also has May 12/13 as the earliest delivery date.
In re-reading your post, you apparently meant 5/12 as the latest delivery date. Yeah, that's true it doesn't make sense, but who knows when the separate orders will actually arrive. Might be just a day or two apart from the link bracelet watches.

True, and it got delayed to the same earliest delivery date as the initial batch of the link bracelet watches.
People who ordered the Link Bracelet separately with a 'April 29 - May 12' delivery date now have a 'May 13 - May 27' delivery date?

No they weren't. My link bracelet order still shows April 29-May 12 as shipping date.
And BTW it wouldn't be illogical to send the bracelets first.
When I placed my order at 3:02Am on the 10th I had the choice: the watch with link bracelet showed late May as shipping date while the bracelets showed april29th.
So I chose to order a WSB with my watch (delivered April 24th) and ordered the band separately as the shipping date was earlier that way.
Respecting the announced shipping date is totally logical.

Indicate precisely what you mean to say; this long wait has got me wasting away.
I'd hope we'd see all the links ordered in the first hour go out together, regardless of them being purchased separately or with the watch.
I doubt it. They will put a priority on the watch combo. No bands are going out separately at the moment
Sadly that isn't true. I've seen a couple of Milanese loops shipped on their own on Reddit.
I meant the link bracelet. I don't know of anyone that has received one for the 42mm
My bracelet order still shows april 30th-May 12th while my Watch with bracelet shows May 13th-27th. I ordered at 3:02 EST ON THE 10th, noticed the immediate 4-6 week window and ordered the Milanese Loop within 1 min after that. Then I ordered the Link bracelet separately on the 12th of April. Received the Milanese on the 24th. No movement on either the Link bracelet or watch, but no change in dates either. Still shows that the latest the Link bracelet will ship will be a day before the watch with bracelet will ship. Seems absurd
Ugh, I'm so tired of this argument.
I set an alarm on the iPad for 12:55am. Rolled over in the bed when it went off and opened the Apple Store app. I had the the SS SB link favorited as I had made the decision of which watch and band I liked weeks before. I was ready to go and tired and groggy, going off the expectations that Apple had set April 10th...
I force closed and opened the app till it became available to place an order at 1:01am. I put the order in as quick as I could and used Apple Pay to pay.
I did not look at, or notice, the shipping date.
It was late at night and I thought there would be no need to worry ordering that quickly after the store opened. Nope, I checked my confirmation email and lo and behold the ship date was June... I couldn't believe it.
I hadn't moved from the bed. I put the iPad back down and was back asleep by 1:30am.
I don't think I'm a lone exception here. I bet there we're a lot of folks who didn't notice the ship time till they received the email. Call me an idiot all you want but that is the facts for me. The checkout and purchase process was so fast I didn't notice the shipping details till I received the confirmation email.
The fact remains that the shipping date was there smack dab in the middle of the screen before we placed the order so it is false to say there was no transparency with an indication that spending more money for the link bracelet would result in a longer wait, as the other member suggested.
Anyway, not ordering your first choice just because you won't receive it on launch day and regretting it for the other 11 months or however long until the next refresh isn't the smartest move.
I would say "I'm hopeful" that the Apple Watch with Link Band will begin to ship the week of 5/4. However my mind tells me........wait until 5/13 (or later).
Of course, this is the week that my travel kicks up and I'll be home only a few days in the next few weeks! No doubt it will arrive when I'm gone. Good thing that Apple requires a signature for delivery!
