WatchOS 2 Beta 2

I'd be really nervous about installing it now on a dev account that's going to expire. Upgrading from WatchOS beta 1 to beta 2 required installing a new profile, which is only available through the developer portal, so there's no guarantee that you'll be able to move past beta 2 when the dev account expires if it's necessary to install a new profile each time. Additionally, for iOS betas, at least, the betas have an expiration date, so I think there's at least a decent chance that you could wind up with an expired WatchOS beta and be unable to upgrade or downgrade.

You know that you can download that profile from any site right?

More comments on battery life -

I'll concur with others that your watch needs a "fix" around mid-day - My watch went into reserve at 4:00 in the afternoon, after a "workout" had been on for an hour or so.

Definitely worse that v1

Hmm I'm stuck with beta 2 with lots of issues it seems.
Have tried to repair/reset both watch and phone but getting appealing battery life (50% left 4 hours off charger barely used)
Very sluggish, many reboots or freezes and basically barely usable.
Skipped beta 1 went straight to beta 2 on both phone and watch, obviously can't go back on watch now.
Any ideas apart from wait out till beta 3?
phone on ios9b2 (iPhone 6) is fine, but the watch beta is impossible at the moment.

Can somebody check if Astronomy watch face has been corrected in OS2? On 1.0.1 it looks like winter on northern Europe. Sun shouldn't be setting until 22.50.

I've had the South Atlantic Ocean location issue return after a week of using beta 2. It's been three days now without a temperature appearing in complications.

To get better battery life, try a face without the weather complication. My experience is that the compilication is having trouble connecting to the phone and in the process drains the battery. With it, my watch died at 6pm. Without it, I'm lasting a day and a half to 2 days

Using the x large face today, no complications and battery was dead 8 hours off charger

I've had the beta 2 since release, and have had no problems with battery life - until yesterday. Suddenly the Watch drains a full charge in a shy 4 hours with low to moderate use. And on top of that, charging suddenly became ridiculously slow. It takes up to 9 hours to get a full charge (been charging it at the office for about 2 hours now with an increase of 16%). I've tried re-pairing twice, but the problem persists.

Anyone got similar problems with charging? For the sake of clarity, I'm using the original charger (5V-1A output).

It seems like it needs a day or two to calibrate after a reset. Not sure if you've done one in the last day or so. I have, and I'm down to 50% after three hours. My weather issue was fixed after yesterday's reset and clean set up, only to return again today. There may be a link between this and Time Travel, because I saw the temperature go blank when I skipped forwards a few hours.

And now I used Time Travel again, which brought the temperature back, but it's incorrect for my location.

I never noticed the little clock app icon on my Watch displays the correct time with a moving second hand. I never ran OS1 so don't knew if that's new or not, but thought it's cool.

Further backing up my inkling that Time Travel is messing up the temperature, I worked out that mine is displaying the temperature as it's expected to be the next hour (as viewable in the Yahoo phone app).

Anyone having taptic issues with JUST apple pay? (By that I mean the tap you get on your wrist when an apple pay transaction completes successfully) all other taptic events have been working on beta 2 for me except for apple pay.....

Still cannot get messages to work. I did a clean install of iOS 9 beta 2 and reset AW (beta 2). I just received this alert.

if you set a city as default it stops it from draining your battery. It is a definite bug and I have made reports on it.

I'm going to try this... I've been experiencing constant drain via some bug and I hope this fixes it:

Beta 2 has been worse than beta 1 for me... I've tried a clean install, clean reset, the works.

- Battery life has been cut down to 1/4th of the time it would last before, maybe 5 hours.. max.
- Notifications more often than not are completely unusable
- Siri is non existent
- Can't respond to any text/imessage when the notifications work

... REALLY regretting using the beta.

So anyone tried beta 2 with 8.4 GM? I have already installed beta 2 on the watch but want to "downgrade" to 8.4 for Apple Music

I will shortly, as going to take iPhone and iPad back to 8.4 for my holiday (I leave tomorrow) decided I don't really care if my watch doesn't work as won't be wearing it on the beach anyway, and by time I return Beta 3 will be out (maybe public beta who knows )

I have Cupertino as my default city and I can't delete or move it - even if I add additional cities to the app.
Are you adding them on the iPhone weather app?

Once you add your home city go into the Apple Watch app and go into weather and change from current location to the newly added home location
