Y’all got the splash screen when you updated your watches? Seems like they added it on my S6

Also my cyclists has the cycling bug been sorted ✔️ on beta 5?

Any of my Hermes Apple Watch beta users seen it’s still going well?

Got it lmk how it goes! Hope no more glitches!

Everyone is agreeable! It took me three hours to download, and I wasted time pressing the install button to get it to install beta 5. It’s not as fast as it used to be when I first started wearing an Apple Watch. It finished when I just started working.
All good on the cycling workout after today's rides.

Tip from several threads ago: Turn off Bluetooth, which forces it to download via WiFi. Silly that it has to be that cumbersome, but it works.
Will be trying that. I wonder if it improves getting symbols from the watch in Xcode too, as that can take months...

This beta has totally broken Carrot weather for me.
Yep, the Developer has confirmed this and is working on a fix. It also affected many other weather apps as well as I was looking for a temporary alternative until the update is released. I also see the Apple Weather complication is not updating with the app. This beta is also is causing me playback issues with Apple Music and Spotify. This beta seems a step backwards in usability.

Had a few occasions where sound and haptics haven't worked, e.g. my alarm this morning the screen was showing the alarm was going off but no sound or haptics, I set a timer which finished but no sound or haptics, hopefully fixed next beta, glad we should be on weekly releases now.

Sounds strange. What beta are you on now on your Apple Watch, and did you have silent mode 📴 on in any way?

Finally jumped on the beta bandwagon a couple weeks ago and all has been going smoothly except the Carrot Weather bug. Really liking the Liquid Glass on the Watch. The Face Gallery is nicely organized now. The Wrist Flick gesture has come in handy so many times already.

Testing it on the ultra or series 10?

Does anyone feel like calorie tracking is off? I used it for a cycling workout yesterday and the calorie count is normally decently close to my bike stats, but they are way off now? Maybe a bug in the heart rate sensor software or something.

Does not really bother me, but thought I would see if I am the only one?
On wOS 11.x (Apple Watch 5), out of the blue, I couldn’t close my move ring no matter what I did.
Jump forward a few months and i got an Ultra 2 and during the swap pairing it said check your info.
Turns out, I only weighed 47lbs. Awesome! But, gross. Fixed that and boom! everything went back to normal. Moral of the story, check your weight in the settings.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

Not impressed with this beta 5. Battery life is probably the worst for me (beta 1 to 4 were more than decent), control center is pretty laggy to open/scroll (especially to open) and as others have stated, Carrot Weather refuses to update, just spins and quit (although the widgets seem to work fine). Not complaining, that's pretty normal stuff for a beta. Hopefully things get better with the upcoming beta(s).

I really like the liquid glass effect on the notifications.

AWU1.

Guys who enquired about workout buddy- tried tracking an outdoor walk around the block in the beach with the watch only and it works on my end, beta 5.

Battery life ain’t bad in this beta.

i would just wait a few more weeks, on the ultra 2 currently you will likely take a noticeable hit on the battery performance, it’s not so noticeable on S6-S10 series as they don’t generally get much more than a day but on the U2 you’re probably used to the 2-3 days battery performance. the minor features of os26 is minor there’s no major performance gain just minor stuff so hang in there a few weeks because you can’t downgrade from the beta or back to original until official release. patience is a virtue 😀

There's a workaround

  • Button glyphs sometimes disappear upon reboot. (157942636)
    Workaround:
    1. Turn on Low Power Mode either from the Power Glance in Control Center or from NanoSettings > Battery.
    2. If Low Power Mode was enabled from the Power Glance, dismiss Control Center (Side Button).
    3. Present Control Center which should now show button symbols.
    4. Low Power Mode can now be turned off.

AWU users do get the most impact from battery life issues in watchOS betas. It is highly not recommended to install betas on them mainly because these watches would not have the 2 days/36 hours battery life.

Also remember to install beta 6 today! Will do after workout!

Thanks, this worked for me!

I have jumped on the beta starting from beta 5, now on beta 6, on my Series 10 watch.

I have noticed the following behavior with notifications. Let's assume I get a few notifications and don't check them. Then I swipe down on the watch, quickly glance at them, and leave them there. All good.

Then at some point I scroll through those same notifications on my iPhone (without interacting with them, just looking at them), unlock the iPhone, use it a bit, put it back.

After that, at some point most of the notifications will disappear from the watch. If I swipe down on the watch, only the latest notification will still be there. The older ones get cleared (although they're still there on the iPhone).

Is this a new behavior (that "seen" notifications disappear), or should this be considered a bug? Anyone else experiencing this?

First thing I checked after installing beta 6 was seeing if Carrot Weather worked again and it does. I pretty much knew it was a beta seed issue and not a Carrot Weather issue. Hopefully the Carrot Weather developer didn't spend too much time trying to fix Apple's mistake that required no update on his part after all.
