A couple things I have noticed thus far with beta 3 on my AWU1. Siri seems to be responding faster and not spinning for quite as long with simple instructions like “fast forward 30 seconds”. Also, seems like this morning the first time since being on watchOS 26, finishing a workout and switching to messages, it did not spin and have to reload the messages app. Maybe, hopefully, they have optimized RAM usage finally.

I was seriously considering trading in for an AWU3, because the reloading of apps on the watch every time I would switch between a couple on them. I think they might be resolving that finally and I will wait for when they redesign the Ultra.

Any chance they improve the control center animation at all?
Yes more smooth on my s6. Before it was abruptly choppy !

That’s weird I still get Siri responses on time on my series 6. And no app crashes still.

Had you restarted your Apple Watch Ultra? Is the battery still good?

I am not talking about app crashes, I am talking about apps being pushed out of RAM and having to reload. This is happening less on this beta for me than any other version of 26.

Anyone else have blank icons on the Home Screen? Have quite a few missing since the last beta on my series 8.

I tried ‘reset Home Screen’ but no change.
Thanks.

Did this get fixed? I'm seeing so many people reporting this now that I'm beginning to wonder whether to buy a new one at all
In my experience people don't go onto forums to say this particular feature worked as normal. It's only if there's an issue. I think you will be fine.

Since updating to WatchOS 26.4 b1 I no longer receive any alerts by Siri during my workouts on my APP3 (i.e. pace, heart rate zone etc.) - only beeps, no voice alerts. All other notifications work normally. Today I updated my AWU3 to 26.4 RC, I went for a short run and still the same. Anyone else?

On your iPhone go to settings > Siri > Fitness

Is announce notifications turned on?

After installing the RC on my watch the screen doesn’t respond to touch commands while using the workout app (outdoor walk). Pressing the crown returns me to the Home Screen and everything else seems to work o-k.

It’s odd behavior. I can start the workout with the watch and it will properly display the data normally, but when I touch the screen it is completely unresponsive. I need to control the workout (pause/stop) from the phone.

I would quit the app on the watch, then restart.

I performed a force quit on all open apps and did a restart but the problem persists. Other apps work as designed, just the workout app that I’m having troubles with.

I submitted the issue on the Feedback app, hopefully it’s not just me.
