UPDATE: Since coming off the charger 45 minutes ago at 100% charge, my S8 has lost 26% of that charge.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. My S8 battery life is getting murdered by 26.4.

I went to bed with 70% and woke up roughly 8 hours later with the watch in power save mode. That's unheard of. Another night had 45% charge before sleep, usually plenty of charge, but it totally died.

I started today with 88% at 10:30 a.m. Died by 1:30 p.m.

Unpairing and repairing didn't resolve the issue either; I tried that several days ago.

This issue is messing up my health tracking too.

None of this occurred on earlier 26 releases. Only thing I haven't tried is wiping and setting it up as new, which is a chore.

My S11 has been excellent on the release version
Same here my watch battery hasn’t dropped a lot from full when i sleep track. Before I had to charge every morning instead of not having to charge it from evening to after the day’s workout

Hi everyone, I know that this is a beta thread, but it seems more active than individual topics so I'll try in here as well.

Has anybody else, besides from the user who replied "same", noticed this issue?

It's driving me crazy, I own my S11 from more than a month and this wasn't happening at all with 26.3.

It seems to happen only when a Focus Mode is active, as it's perfect during the day.

Just about 3 hours 😂
I don’t dare to install 26.5. I need to see from your perspective if it’s good or not.

Staying on 26.4 public release.

Thanks for sharing, are you sure that Sleep Focus was on?

Because it only happens while a Focus mode is active.

Maybe there weren’t enough notifications to trigger the issue?

It’s very strange, because I can easily replicate it: if I turn on Sleep Focus and send myself 15 or 20 WhatsApp messages one after the other, the Watch will definitely skip a few of them.

A good test is to send individual messages with "1", "2", "3", etc. so you can then check the sequence in the Watch and easily spot if any are missing.

If I disable Sleep Focus and repeat the process, the Watch shows every single message instead.

It’s so consistent that it can’t be a coincidence anymore. Also, on the Reddit post I opened, quite a few people have now reported the same issue.

Unless it’s something that, for some reason, only affects certain models, I have no idea.

I can 100% guarantee that this wasn’t happening on 26.3. I use Sleep Focus every single night and I never had any issue with notifications, it only started with 26.4.

Wiping then setting up my S8 as a new watch did not address the 26.4 battery drain; it mildly assuaged it.
Went to bed with 46% and woke up with S8 in power save mode.
This morning lost 20% during roughly one hour of regular wear.

Even with or without sleep focus I still get my notifications.

Sleep focus and reduce interruptions I get notifications but they don’t have banners they just pop in The Notification Center

The only ones I am getting are the notifications I have allowed. I have my interior camera motion, severe weather warnings, and only calls from a short list of people (parents, kids, wife). I haven't had any other notifications go off during my sleep time. There will be ones that made no noise/vibration for the ones that come to my watch, but I only have few apps that do that.

It’s a bit strange, but I still get notifications from Canvas, Outlook, NFL, NBA, and MLB, and they show up in my notifications center. They’re filtered correctly in my focus modes, just as I like them to be. Plus, they all have the Apple Intelligence feature that is filtered by the AI for important purposes , and I’ve turned off notifications for them. I only allow calls from family and friends, and I’ve silenced anyone else, including that school that keeps calling me even though I graduated. I’ve also set my Workout and Reduce Interruption focus to silence calls and texts during sleep, except for urgent matters.

I do have some apps that still notify me on my watch as Apple Watch-only apps, like you mentioned. When I have no focus mode on and receive calls that aren’t allowed, I use the iOS 26 call screening feature. If it’s a scam or not necessary, I just hang up!

Didn’t you get 26.5 beta? A series 11 dude said battery is better there.

All good so far, battery life is better than ever and no issues with the touch being non-responsive.
As a follow up, the last 24 hours include normal activities, a 2 hour bike ride with workout and music running, 8 hours of sleep on sleep focus, and I think there were a couple hours of DND also. Watch is down to 53% battery from a 100% charge. No other issues.

Are they notifications just showing, or are they showing AND making the sounds? Mine will show what I missed in Sleep Focus (sometimes, like you, I have NHL, NBA, MLB, or priority emails), but they don't make noise. If I select it, it "unfolds" and shows them to me, like when I am not in Sleep Focus.

For me, the only ones that will actually make a sound to notify me are the ones I prioritized; all others are silenced and appear only when I wake up and check them.

they only make the noise when priority on a focus mode, man. otherwise no changes to notification silencing when I don't have a focus on.

After installing 26.5 beta, it seems that the notifications are back, not missing anything (at least until now), but the red dot still isn't appearing. I had the exact same problem as you.

I don’t have that build, still on 26.5 dev beta 1. Thanks for the input !

I installed it last night. So far, so good. My only missed notifications are because I left theatre mode on after being at a seminar yesterday. My only issue is the 3 Unknown Senders it says I have in Messages that are not there - on my watch or phone. And I can't seem to get it to show as 0.
