S10 Hermes and same issue as you guys. Watch app crashes upon launch and the clock/watch face app crashes very often.
If ChatGPT says ...I have S8 + S4 Hermes, both the same problem. ChatGPT is saying they removed some API but the watch face code was not updated = hence the constant crashing.
Likely paid less attention to watchOS, tvOS in regards to liquid glass…It's even worse on tvOS. I thought the update had failed on my 4K 2nd Gen, but it just didn't change much at all. I noticed one icon, Settings, having a slightly different look but everything else looks exactly the same, including the Apple TV Settings itself, no sign of any liquid glass.
Having looked into it, you seem to be correct. Apple Watch doesn’t seem to have a publicly available route to downgrading the OS. That’s on me; I assumed it was like an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook.
I suspect there you have two hopes of the Apple Store swapping out your Watch because you installed a beta on it and you hate it, and Bob’s dead.
10/10 👆🏻 y’all have to be careful bout betas on watchOS. Downgrade definitely needs users to mail in their watches to Apple or take it to the Genius Bar where the watch will be downgraded with a special tool that is internally only can do or send you an express replacement.OK, it looks like it bears repeating. Herewith the rules of Developer Betas of Apple Software.
I get that people are curious about Liquid Glass, but developer betas are supposed to have sharp edges and can be extremely, data-threateningly broken, and that’s just the way it is.
- Don’t install iOS 26 or iPadOS on an iPhone or iPad that needs to work. There are two routes to a fix; the first is just to wait until the next beta, and hope it solves your problem. The second is to reset your device to factory settings, with a complete loss of any data that’s not backed up.
- Don’t install macOS 26 on a Mac that needs to work. As per iPhone and iPad, there are two routes and one involves living with whatever’s broken until it unbreaks, and the other is a factory reset.
- Don’t install watchOS 26 on a Watch that needs to work, because if it breaks, it’ll stay broken until Apple fixes it.
- Something about Vision Pro. As above.
It appears that Hermes watches are experiencing another bug. Specifically, the Apple Watch Hermes Series 10 and Series 9 Hermes models are affected. Any beta testers who have Hermes Ultra 2s or other Hermes series watches have encountered this watch face bug?S10 Hermes and same issue as you guys. Yep , got Hermes Ultra 2 , app crashes and watch a real mess , same behaviour as others have experienced. It appears that Hermes watches are experiencing another bug. Thanks for clarifying that, bro. So, it’s really a huge issue with all Hermes Apple Watches. Has anyone of y’all hard restarted their watches too? You can do that by pressing and holding both the Digital Crown and the side buttons simultaneously, and then releasing it once the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears.it seems that Hermes watches are the most affected , I've read in iOS 26 forum that non Hermes watches are fine
I couldn't be bother to read the whole thing so I gave GPT my both my phone and watch's crash log, and it was correct analysis. It seems "truthy" but where would ChatGPT have sourced this from?
If it can be fixed this easily then we will not report this problem...Thanks for clarifying that, bro. So, it’s really a huge issue with all Hermes Apple Watches. My Series 6 non-Hermes model (gold stainless steel 40mm Apple Watch) doesn’t have crashes; it only has complications that don’t update back on beta 1. However, I don’t see anything wrong on the watch faces in beta 2.
A hard reset doesn't make a difference that I could see: I did try. Low power mode does though — not power reserve, which I was confusing it with. The one that makes the clock yellow in nightstand mode that you get to by pressing the battery %. You have to be quite quick to get it turned on before the watch switches itself off. With that on so far I'm up to about 40% and there's no reason to think it won't get to 100%, so I can now see a way out of this with another software patch (needs at least 50%, as people will know), which I could not when the battery was low single-digit % and ran out with more than a few seconds of interaction. Thanks for clarifying that, bro. Sure but Apple won't know they need to fix it unless the issue is raised to them.If it can be fixed this easily then we will not report this problem...
I have fresh restored iOS 26 beta 2, reset my watch, paired my watch, restarted my watch, restarted my phone, turned on airplane mode, turned off wifi, turned off bluetooth, reinstalled watch app, none of those worked. So it is a really problem and it cannot be fixed from user. It's Apple's code.
None Hermes watches don't have the Hermes watch face, so they don't have this problem.
Agreed. Seems specific to the Hermes watch faces, even if you’re not actively using one.If it can be fixed this easily then we will not report this problem...

I have reported to Feedback Assistance, as soon I figured it was Apple's code problem.Sure but Apple won't know they need to fix it unless the issue is raised to them.
There are physical constraints in Apple Watch screens that limit the possibilities for adopting liquid glass :Likely paid less attention to watchOS, tvOS in regards to liquid glass…

Yea I broke my move streak too 😔Nuked my streaks yesterday! So annoying! But, if you're going to live on the bleeding edge, you can't expect not to get cut from time to time…!

Hey everyone! Can you please make sure that y’all share feedback IDs hete once you’re done doing your feedback? It’s super important because if anyone else has the same issue as you, can look into it and fix it in the next build. Thanks a bunch!I sent two FBs and an email through the dev support portal so hopefully it will land on someone's desk before too long. Please do the same if you are affected! A key metric in Feedback Assistant is "Recent Similar Reports." Happy to see there are "less than 10" now — not many, but Apple will have seen this isn't one clueless user, and the more reports, the more urgency will be assigned to a fix. I suggest having a very descriptive subject, including the word Hermes.
Oh no, that’s a bummer! It seems like a lot of people with Hermes Apple Watch series 9, 10, and even the Hermes Apple Watch Ultra 2 have reported the same issue - the watch face glitching. One person even said their battery got hit hard by this bug.I'm having the same issue with an Hermes S10 on watchOS 26 DB2 and iPhone 16 Pro Max on DB2. I ended up submitting an express replacement request to get a watch on watchOS 11.x. Is anyone having the app crash issue with an Hermes watch on watchOS 11.x and an iPhone on iOS 26 DB2?
Also submitted feedback and crash reports
Oh Boy! I should have looked into the pool before I had jumped. I went and downloaded IOS 26 Beta 2 on my Apple Watch Ultra 2, and then noticed when I went to look what new features and remedies were given, I noticed my battery to start to take a plunge and wouldn't recharge, and someone on Youtube had publicly announced a warning which I did't see until it was too late. All is good, but I had to start from scratch.
That is why we mostly only see these changes in the buttons, Smart Stack and notifications. Just aesthetically consistent with the other osesThere are physical constraints in Apple Watch screens that limit the possibilities for adopting liquid glass :
Small screen, black background, control sizes, readability…
They have just put some very subtle changes, and it’s preferable for usability …

Would you mind sharing your feedback ID so others can refer to your feedback when they do their reporting on this bug? 😊 Fortunately, you have AppleCare+ on your watch.
Oh nice, I think that's a good plan and I may go this route as well, may downgrade my phone back to ios 18.5 frankly if I can get my watch replaced. I assume you have Applecare + given the quick replacement?FB18352838 is my feedback number. Also got hit by the battery bug, it drained faster than it could charge for me. Replacement shows up tomorrow. I'm going to leave it on watchOS 11.5 for now and I'm going to try to downgrade my phone to DB1 until DB3 comes out or there's a revised DB2
Added a comment to my feedback that it's the same issue as FB18344332
Yeah I have AppleCare+ so I was able to do Express Replacement for free, I think it's like $30 without AppleCare+. Every time I've taken an Apple Watch to the store they've shipped it in for service and it was a 1-2 week wait for the new one to show up. IIRC they need to ship the watch for just about any service unlike iPhones where they can do it in storeOh nice, I think that's a good plan and I may go this route as well, may downgrade my phone back to ios 18.5 frankly if I can get my watch replaced. I wonder if I tried the same while downgrading to ios26 beta 1 or iOS 18 would it fix the issue ?I submitted to apple feedback that my Hermes S10 causes watch app to crash on the ios 27 beta 2 phone. I unpaired my watch from my phone (using the watch settings), and that allowed watch app to start on the phone finally. But when trying to re-pair it, the watch app on the phone crashes again everytime it gets past apple pay setup. I tried this while setting up the watch as new and from back, same crash each time. The Hermes watch is currently unusable.
I submitted feedback re: this: FB18344332 for reference.
It doesn’t fully. I was able to downgrade to iOS 26 DB1 via the IPSW yesterday. It did indeed let me use the Watch app without crashing, but unfortunately all the watch faces themselves (even non-Hermes ones) still have the crashing issue and the horrendous battery life. :/I wonder if I tried the same while downgrading to ios26 beta 1 or iOS 18 would it fix the issue ?
