Ugh... watchOS 27 beta (including the new beta 7) on the Ultra 3 has been less than stellar. I do like the new app selector, but using Siri by voice has been unacceptably frustrating.

Simple stuff:

1. Press and hold the Digital Crown.
2. See that the Siri icon is up and ready for a voice command after a haptic tap.
3. Say something super simple, like “Set a reminder... [whatever].”
4. Sit and wait, staring at the watch face, for... seconds... 5? 10? I’m not sure. It feels like forever.
5. Get a generic error saying that something went wrong.

I’ve unpaired and re-paired it as a new watch, but there’s been no change.

iOS 27 has been great, but I’m not happy at all with the new Siri on WatchOS 27. I guess I need a fancy new Ultra 4 in order for Siri to actually work. Maybe?
Yah, Siri is a mess on the watch; it is so sad. It’s technically usable, but it’s abysmal. The point of using the watch is to be faster than pulling my phone out, which it was before 27. I could understand it being that slow on an old watch, but I have an Ultra 3 and it is SLOW.

The few things Siri was good at and actually useful for on a watch are now a struggle. Timer, reminder, quick text or reply, turn on a scene. It now takes so long my screen times out before the transcription even appears.

If you run or go out without your phone, it’s even longer, a LOT longer. Sending a text without a phone took me a good minute +. That used to be instantaneous. It’s not acceptable, and we are all delusional if we think it will be magically fixed over 1, maybe 2 betas.

Anyone seeing delayed notifications on your watch? I am seeing door lock / unlock notifications appearing 20 mins later.
Maybe not 20 minutes but definitely 30 seconds to a couple of minutes for things such as messages, push emails, other third party notifications. Oh and phone calls will start ringing on my phone a good 10 seconds before my watching starts vibrating the call. I've also noticed for messages that occasionally the "1" or whatever number in the message complication still shows after viewing the message on my phone. In this case, the watch is still thinking it's unread and I have to manually go into the message on the watch to open it on there to get rid of that on the watch.

Looks like my Series 7 is finally out of date!
U keeping it or upgrading?

My Apple Watch battery health may get to the point I’ll need to replace it, so I will try to see if AppleCare can do a swap to a new series when it’s that time man

I'm going to try keeping it for a bit. Battery still gets me through the day at the moment (Ive had it since release) and I only really use it for notifications more than anything else TBH.....

Unless the series 12 really has something special to tempt me!.......
