Seems your all lucky to have your watch back in working order - I am still waiting here in Germany - customer relations can't do anything rather than telling me that there is no replacement stock for the express replacement case which was setup on the 31st October. Will get another update call on Monday (assuming that they will not be able to tell me something different then).

If I would not have been so silly to buy AppleCare+ I am sure my watch would have returned as well but for now I am still waiting....

Have you considered asking for a refund and ordering a new one

Anyone else had a problem getting their data plan back on their watch after getting it back?

My watch obviously came back completely wiped so when I went to set it up again got shown the usual EE (im in the UK) page to call EE to get it set up.

So I did and the guy just said to unpair watch and try again and tap to skip adding data plan and the watch will automatically pick up my plan as it was still showing as linked on his system.

Well it didn’t work. Wondering how everyone else found it.

Thanks

My watch bricked when I was in the US, I took it to the Apple store and they confirmed what I already knew. I was traveling to the UK the next day, so the genius agreed to swap it out since there was no time for a repair. However then they found they didn’t have any units equivalent to mine. Therefore he suggested I send it to Apple when back in the UK. So I called UK support and got it sorted, all good at this stage. UPS delivered the box then came back 2 hours later to pick up the watch.

I then got an email form Apple support yesterday saying they received my watch but are returning because they cannot reproduce the problem . WTF? It’s stuck at the Apple logo, how can they not reproduce that? Anyone had a similar case?

I’m hoping that they reflashed the software but since they didn’t physically change anything on the wtch like the screen then they don’t have an appropriate ‘canned’ reply, so they just mark it as nothing wrong and are sending it back. I’ll find out on Monday what happened, but I don’t like receiving an email that appears misleading.

EDIT: just found this https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/bricked-s4-repair-status.2153001/

All i did was call EE and they transferred the plan there and then to my new watch. You provide the EID number and they move your plan to that number. Up and running within 5 minutes. I would call them again as the guy you spoke to obviously did not know what to do.
