Macrumors need to get this on their front page now
my apple watch S3 updated just find
man thats a bummer.+1, thanks Apple. I just received my Series 4 Watch yesterday and bricked it today with WatchOS 5.1...
It was supposed to be enabling the ECG functionality (the actual user-facing app is separate and not out). Since some are saying this is limited to Series 4, I wonder if there is a connection...What the heck did 5.1 bring to us that was so important that it bricked some of the user watches?

Some german news outlets already have, I think MR should warn users too.
The app is not out, but there were reports 5.1 was enabling the functionality in WatchOS that the ECG app will need before it can work. I just wonder if that is causing the issues, since this only seems to affect Series 4.Well there was no ECG that I can find. The only thing good was it downloaded and updated fast and I am thankful mine did not brick.
Talking to Apple Support again, It's been three hours stuck on the logo. I received it today and got to use it for a whole five minutes before I updated it.
Cheapskate aluminium here but bricked for more than 2 hours now. What is the common factor? Where is everyone having this problem? Maybe it’s Regional?
