My Apple Watch 4 has an issue. Not sure if it’s watchOS related, running watchOS 5.1 beta 1 but during my half marathon my watch wasn’t tracking my heart rate on and off. If I went in the heart rate app on the watch sometimes it would give me a reading, other times it said try again.

Anyone else have this issue?

Beta 2 doesn‘t fix the too small and misaligned activity rings on Series 4.

"You can now access Control Center and Notifications from within apps as well by touching and holding at the top or bottom of the screen, then swiping."

This is the best new functional feature. I never liked if I was in an app, for example the workout app, if I didn't interact with a notification as it was coming in, I would have to leave the workout app and go either the watch app or the corresponding notification app to do follow up right then. Now I can stay in the workout app and respond still by swiping down. This was on my request list.

Yep, closed as duplicate. Kind of surprised they didn't resolve in Beta 2. Seems like an easy regression fix.

Agreed. What do you want to bet it's tied into the ECG app/resources somehow... no other reason they'd be messing with it at this point?

Not sure if I missed this or not. Beta 2 and receiving a text. If you review on the watch and try to dismiss, it seems as though the dismiss button doesn’t work and what auto reply is behind it will be sent.

I tried scrolling to the bottom with no auto reply behind it and the dismiss does nothing.

...so what’s actually new in 5.1? Seems like no EKG, no updated complications, and plenty of bugs.

I still need a watch face with 6 or more complications with digital time with seconds. Infogragh analog hands BLOCK the complications on the inside of the dial. Very annoying!!!
I went back to the modular watch face I used with the old Apple watch. I am a functional guy and not impressed by aesthetics and colors, particular when the data options not meet requirement. I typically have one world time, day, date, temperature, battery percentage and heart rate. I do not like the analog watch face and prefer digital read out.

"Hey Siri, start a 30 minute outdoor run", etc.
[doublepost=1537284000][/doublepost]Meanwhile, on a totally different note re the new faces, for those who like time in digital format, watchOS 5 on Series 4's Infograph analogue face allows you to add Digital Time as a complication that fills the top middle area (in the form hh:mm:ss).
I used that for awhile, but the font is too small so I went back to the old modular design which has a hh:mm and large day month date in the center.

I need seconds or second hand on my watch. I need Modular face re-designed fast. Apple had 6 years and they still have not figured out the watch... sigh.

When the watch connects to the mac, you usually got a notification saying "Trust this computer", without being more specific as to what computer it was asking you to trust.

In beta 2, it now displays the computer name, and asks you to enter in a passcode on the watch to trust that mac.

Its not just the activity, I have noticed in a couple of apps...Hole 19 Golf being one of the most used I use....VERY infuriating over the weekend as it wouldn't allow me to use some of the app buttons......first world problems

The new watch faces don’t even support ALARMS. On a watch!
You mean for the sub-dials right? That is another sad miss. I use the alarm on the other circles.

Seems pretty obvious that the sub-dials should work with all of Apples apps. Third party apps work. :-(
