  • Performance tweaks
  • New Dock interface replaces honeycomb home screen (honeycomb home page gone? favorites button functionality gone? launches dock now)
  • New watch faces (Minnie Mouse, activity watch face, simple watch face, added complication to photo watch face). NO custom watch faces. (Let the complaints begin!)
  • Scribble input method added. (lets you type out information by drawing letters)
  • New 911 emergency feature introduced on Watch (sends location to where you are after phone call)
  • New activity Share feature. share your activity rings with friends/family. (yes, I know other devices/app already do this)
  • New Breathe app (deep breathing exercise app)

Edit: Done.

Finally I may be able to use apps efficiently.. rather than waiting a minute with wrist up like a moron lol, I use a bus app so I look so dumb when I'm rushing with wrist up waiting to see when next bus is >.<!

Sounds like good stuff, and glad it will make my watch new again. I am disappointed in the lack of some way to add watch faces too. The Micky and Minnie thing is cute for about 5 minutes, and then pretty much a gimmick. If they were going to stick with that, could they not have least added a bunch more characters... vs. just one more?

Very much looking forward to this. Didn't think they could do much that would impress me, but scribble and activity sharing did it.

I was expecting maybe Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto but I'm sure there is licensing involved.

Thumbs for the new features.

2 things that bugged me got destroyed :D :

- The stupid honeycomb dock (which is gone)
- Reassignment of the Favorites button (which they did to trigger the new dock)

Hoping to see a way to retain the Favorites function for the side button -- I must be one of the few MR members who uses it often enough to keep it.

I'm not so sure the Dock replaces the "honeycomb" screen. They didn't demo what happens when you push the crown, which is how we currently access the honeycomb screen.

I wonder how many other alphabets Scribble supports, too.

might be a double tap?
Double tap is for Pay, though.

The performance and interface improvements are very exciting. Scribble to reply to a text will also be very useful. I like the new faces as well (and the ability to swipe between them), except for Minnie. I'm not a fan of the Mickey face either.

I know many will be disappointed that there is no plan to support third party watch faces. I would like to see that as well, but I do like that you can at least now add a complication to a photo face.

I was really surprised that the demo didn't show what happens when you press the crown, so I assume it still takes you to the honeycomb screen. You'd still need a way to launch the apps you use only on occasions... the ones you do not want cluttering up your dock or your complications.

If the Dock replaces anything, it seems like it would replace Glances. Or will glances still exist as well?

That's right about the honeycomb screen -- if all my usual apps were in the Dock, it would be too wide to be convenient. Going to the honeycomb screen would be quicker.

Press the side button for the Dock... I've already forgotten what happens when you swipe up.

OH -- Control Center is what you get when you swipe up. But it looks like an expanded version of what's available already, though. Maybe Glances are still there when you swipe to the side.
