Water damage to screen

Hi. My Macbook pro was in my backpack and I suspect some of the water from my water bottle spilled and made its way into the screen of my laptop. In reality I don’t know how this happened but there are some water spots on the screen.

Should I just wait for the water to evaporate? Is a screen replacement necessary?

I’d appreciate your advice.

Personally I'd just leave it if I didn't have any insurance. Luckily it still works and it's only in the corner.

That definitely looks worse than mine. Thanks, this gives me some consolation. Can’t afford to replace screen for $1000 bucks or so.

It may evaporate. I’d leave it turned off for a while though. If there’s water inside the main compartment; running juice through the circuits is a gamble.

To speed up the drying process, you could sit out over a heat vent or put it inside a plastic bag with several packs of desiccant.

Water bottle INSIDE of the same pack that your computer is in?
Who would do that...?
