Wave-Themed OS X Banner Goes Up at Moscone West for WWDC 2013

It is no longer called "OSX", it is just "X"

There are no longer versions, they will be updating it constantly via the "CLOUD", and you must pay $10/mo to continue using their OS.

Just as Adobe is doing.

Adobe and Apple have been working on this scheme together for the past year.
The wave represents the end of the era of pay and own your software.

When your kids shake their Christmas presents and get gitty waiting for the 25th do you say, "Jeez why are you so excited about wrapping paper?" No. You don't. That's because you know it's not about the paper to them... It's the anticipation of what's inside.

And they would ascribe an entire "brilliant" aesthetic to what was probably a five second decision, after an Art Director said "give me a ten foot high "X", use the thinnest face you've got, and no, you can't buy any new ones, use something in the system."
 
It's been a silent first half of year from Apple, but it's going to be jammed pack second half, hope we don't have to wait too long for public releases, September will be nice

There's no reason we won't see an OS 10.11, or an OS 10.12. If Apple wants to do something radical to merge iOS with OS X, they don't have to wait for OS 10.11 or iOS 10, either.

I read it too fast.I get it now.
 
I think it will be called Lynx, and the wallpaper will probably just come bundled, I remember Lion being introduced with a large Lotus as the wallpaper. The build of 10.9 at wwdc will probably be a GM, or near final build. Especially judging by the leaked "build" number from early May. 13A451...
