I miss how the computer used to celebrate itself. Unboxing a new mac/installing the OS used to be exciting, but without the videos, it's sort of "meh."
I hope the X means they are not killing what little aqua is left. I miss the days where it looked and felt friendly. Now, X looks cold and sterile. It's incredibly functional, but it's lost its personality.

Seriously though, I doubt there is a hidden message. People have been saying these transparent app icon shapes mean something, but the exact same transparent coloured shapes were used for the advertising of WWDC 2012 and it didn't mean anything then.
I like Apple stuff. I think it works well. BUT...

I mean they could just project an I onto the image right before the announcement. This of course would be clear symbolism that the new Mac Pro will come with a holographic Siri, which you would be able to jailbreak in to Siri stripping.
