We can't preorder the 5S?

Well when I got my 4s I was able to walk in to the AT&T store at around 3 pm launch day and walk out with the phone. Hoping that will be the same this year. What model usually sells out first, 16 gb?

Yeah but when the 4S came out, we were able to preorder, so most of the demand for that phone was already taken care of well before release day. When the 5S comes out, there will be a ton more people at the stores since that is basically their only option if they want the phone that day.

So i asked an Apple employee. (Pic is in german but i'll give you a translation)

The guy basically says, that it is not planned to make the 5S preorder-able. It will be in Apple Stores on the 20th. For carriers and other third party reseller you'll have to ask them on your own when they have the new iPhone available.

If like the 5, you can order same day, or show up in carrier store same day of release.

I don't see the mass hysteria w/ people lining up for the 5S, but maybe that's just me. Also, download the Apple store app purchase your phone and pick it at the Apple store that evening or following day. Apple has made this process easier over the years.
